Although uninstalling the Microsoft Teams app is simple and straightforward, but you may have noticed that it keeps reinstalling every time you reboot your computer.

This happens when the Teams app has been installed as part of an office-wide subscription and not just for a single user. In such cases, you need to uninstall the ‘Teams Machine-Wide Installer’ as well to permanently remove the Microsoft Teams app from your Windows PC.

Uninstall Microsoft Teams App

Open the Start menu or click on the ‘Search’ button present on the bottom left of the Windows taskbar and type ‘Control Panel’. Then, click on the ‘Control Panel’ app from the results.

Search for Control Panel in the Search box

On the Control Panel screen, select ‘Category’ under the ‘View By’ drop-down menu on the upper-right side of the window in case it is not selected. This will list all the options under different categories.

Select ‘Uninstall a program’ option under Programs category in Control Panel.

You will be taken to the ‘Programs and Features’ screen. This screen lists all the desktop applications currently installed on your computer.

Type ‘Teams’ in the search box present on the top right side of the window to search the apps having ‘teams’ word in their names. This would help to find the ‘Microsoft Teams’ app easily among the sea of apps you may have on your computer.

Click on Microsoft Teams app from the list. The ‘Uninstall’ button will appear in the toolbar on the screen. Click on it and uninstall the app from your computer.

This will remove the Microsoft Teams app from your computer. However, if you have the ‘Teams Machine-wide installer’ too, the Microsoft Teams app will probably reinstall when you reboot your PC.
