ARC Raiders crossplay and cross-save on PS5, Xbox, and PC
Arc RaidersWhat carries over, what you still need to buy, and the one crossplay limitation to keep in mind.

ARC Raiders supports full crossplay across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Cross-save (cross‑progression) is also supported and is tied to your Embark ID account, so your character, unlocks, and gear move with you when you switch platforms.
Crossplay settings and the one limitation
Crossplay can be toggled in the game’s settings. When crossplay is on, matchmaking includes all platforms—console lobbies cannot be limited to consoles only. If you want to avoid matching with PC players, you must turn crossplay off entirely.
That tradeoff is the key constraint: leave crossplay on for faster queues and broader squads, or turn it off to stay within a single platform’s pool.
How cross-save works (Embark ID)
Your progression is linked to your Embark ID. Sign in with the same Embark ID everywhere you play and your character and unlocks will be available on each platform.
- Create or sign in to your Embark ID once, then use it when launching the game on every platform you own.
- If you’ve played on one platform, your data appears automatically after signing in on another.
Tip: You can manage your account or verify your email through the Embark ID portal at id.embark.games.
Do you need to buy the game more than once?
You need a license on every platform where you want to play. Progress is shared through your Embark ID, but entitlements are not—owning the game on PS5 doesn’t unlock it on PC, and vice versa.
On Xbox, ARC Raiders supports Xbox Play Anywhere. That means a single purchase covers both Xbox and Windows PC within Microsoft’s ecosystem, and your progression still travels via your Embark ID.
Playtests and carryover at launch
Progress earned during pre‑launch playtests, including the Server Slam, does not carry over to the full game. Cosmetics from the playtest do not transfer either.
There is a one‑time reward for participating in the Server Slam: players can receive the Server Slammer Backpack at launch after verifying their email on their Embark ID (id.embark.games). Use the same Embark ID you play with so the reward can be granted to the correct account.

Set up crossplay and cross-save in a few minutes
- Launch the game and sign in or create your Embark ID. Use this same account everywhere.
- On each platform, open Settings and turn crossplay on or off based on your preference.
- Install and launch on any other platforms you own. Sign in with the same Embark ID to access your progress.
That’s all it takes. Your unlocks and character will appear automatically once your Embark ID is recognized.
The bottom line: ARC Raiders lets you play with friends across PS5, Xbox, and PC, and your progress follows you. Just decide whether you want the wider crossplay pool or platform‑only matchmaking, and make sure you’re signed into the same Embark ID everywhere you play.
