Arc Raiders Eyes in the Sky Galleria sign and Scanner locations

Find every Control Tower, Communications Tower, and Galleria sign spot and place Shani's LiDAR Scanners without missing a jump.

Arc Raiders Eyes in the Sky Galleria sign and Scanner locations

Eyes in the Sky in Arc Raiders sends you to three separate regions to plant LiDAR Scanners at some of the tallest structures on the surface. The Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport objectives are straightforward once you know where to climb, but the Buried City task on top of the Galleria sign often causes the most confusion.

Eyes in the Sky objectives overview

The mission breaks down into three LiDAR Scanner placements, one in each of the following locations.

Region Target structure Exact placement Traversal method Extra gear needed
Dam Battlegrounds Control Tower (near map centre) Tripod on the outer edge of the roof Indoor route to elevator shaft, then built-in zipline None (no personal zipline required)
Spaceport Communications Tower (eastern plains) Tripod along the upper walkway Long exterior ladder, then short walk None (no personal zipline required)
Buried City Galleria sign pillar (east-centre of map) Tripod on the narrow platform at the top of the “Q”-shaped sign Reach Galleria roof, then zipline to the pillar top Personal zipline gadget (ideally bring two)

LiDAR Scanners and zipline requirements

The quest text mentions LiDAR Scanners as if they were items you might lose and have to pick up again. In practice, you do not need a LiDAR Scanner in your inventory. At each objective there is a small tripod or device you interact with; your character places the scanner automatically when you hold the interact key, similar to repairing a field station.

The only item you must actively carry is a zipline gadget for the Buried City objective. Shani provides one when the mission chain reaches this step, and additional ziplines can also be used if you have them. A single well-placed zipline is enough to reach the Galleria sign, but carrying a second one makes it much easier to correct a bad shot.

At Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport, all climbing is done with ladders and built-in ziplines that are part of the environment, so no personal traversal gadget is required there.

Dam Battlegrounds LiDAR Scanner on the Control Tower

The first scanner goes on top of the Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds, a tall structure a little south of the map’s centre. The area is a popular hotspot, so expect other Raiders and automated defences.

Step Action at Dam Battlegrounds
1 Approach the Control Tower and enter through the main ground-floor entrance.
2 Take the left-hand corridor inside, passing the locked “Dam Staff Room” door.
3 Turn right along the interior walkway and continue until you see a breachable door on your left leading into an elevator shaft.
4 Look up the shaft: there are hostile turrets mounted above. Shoot them from below so they cannot hit you while you ride the zipline.
5 Use the zipline inside the shaft to reach the top level, then follow the short corridor until you reach the roof exit.
6 Step out onto the roof and move toward the outer edge; the LiDAR tripod sits in a corner section of the roof, not on top of the tall antenna.
7 Hold the interact key on the tripod to deploy the first LiDAR Scanner.

Many players instinctively climb all the way to the highest antenna on the tower. The scanner is actually on the main roof surface, tucked near the edge, so there is no need to risk extra jumps around the mast.

Spaceport LiDAR Scanner on the Communications Tower

The second scanner is placed at Spaceport, on the Communications Tower that stands in the open plains on the eastern side of the region. This is the simplest of the three objectives once you locate the tower.

Step Action at Spaceport
1 Travel to the tall Communications Tower in the far east of the Spaceport map.
2 Clear any nearby enemies around the base to avoid getting shot while climbing.
3 Find the ladder on the side of the tower and start climbing; it is a long ascent but completely linear.
4 At the top of the ladder, step out onto the metal walkway that circles the tower.
5 Turn right along the walkway to reach the tripod, marked by an interaction prompt.
6 Interact with the tripod to plant the second LiDAR Scanner.

Buried City LiDAR Scanner on top of the Galleria sign

The final scanner goes on the Galleria sign in Buried City and is the only one that cannot be reached without a personal zipline gadget. The Galleria lies in the east-central part of the map and is easy to recognise: its roof is capped by a tall pillar with a symbol that looks like a large “Q”. The scanner is at the very top of this pillar.

Before deploying to Buried City, make sure you are carrying at least one zipline gadget, ideally two. Once in the raid, work through the following steps.

Step Action at Buried City Galleria
1 Head to the Galleria building in the east-centre of Buried City, identified by the tall sign pillar with the “Q”-shaped symbol.
2 Climb onto the Galleria roof. You can use a ladder on one side of the building or scramble up the sand drift that reaches the roofline.
3 Once on the roof, move toward the outer edge near the base of the sign pillar. Look for wooden planks and raised sections you can jump across to get closer to the pillar.
4 Position yourself so you have a clear line of sight to the narrow walkway or rim at the very top of the pillar, where the sign structure is.
5 Equip your zipline gadget and aim at the upper edge of the pillar’s platform. Fire the zipline so that the rope attaches across the top surface rather than hanging from its underside.
6 Ride the zipline up to the top of the pillar. Move carefully when you arrive; the platform is small and it is easy to fall back to the roof.
7 On the platform, interact with the tripod to place the final LiDAR Scanner and finish Eyes in the Sky.

Tip: if the zipline attaches upside down under the lip of the sign, your Raider can be flung over or dropped at the end of the ride. If that happens and you survive the fall, reposition on the Galleria roof and spend a second zipline shot to place a cleaner, top-mounted line.

Common questions and issues

A few recurring problems tend to slow players down on this mission:

  • “I can’t find LiDAR Scanners in my stash or inventory.” The mission does not use a physical LiDAR Scanner item. You simply interact with the tripods at each location; the scanner is applied automatically.
  • “There’s nothing on the very top of the Dam antenna.” The Dam Battlegrounds scanner is not on the thin mast at the highest point. It is on a tripod on the main rooftop corner. Once you exit onto the roof from the elevator shaft, check the edges of the broader roof platform.
  • “The Galleria sign tells me I have no LiDAR Scanner.” Very occasionally the game can show this message even though the mission does not require a carried scanner. If that happens on the Galleria sign, leaving the area and returning in a new raid can allow the interaction to work correctly the next time.
  • “My zipline keeps throwing me off the Galleria sign.” This usually happens when the line is anchored beneath the sign’s lip instead of across the top platform. Readjust on the roof and aim at the upper edge of the platform so the cable clearly lies over the top surface.

Once all three tripods have been activated—on the Dam Battlegrounds Control Tower, the Spaceport Communications Tower, and the Buried City Galleria sign—Eyes in the Sky is complete and Shani’s surveillance network over the surface is fully in place.
