What unlocks at launch
Redsec is a free-to-play battle royale that lands alongside Battlefield 6 Season 1. Expect the series’ hallmark destruction and vehicles, with a notable twist on the genre’s closing zone: the encroaching ring instantly kills on contact rather than dealing damage over time. A launch-day trailer is scheduled to premiere at the same time the mode goes live.
Can you preload Redsec?
There isn’t a separate Redsec preload via a standalone store page. The content is tied to the Season 1 update and will unlock at the times listed above. Some players may see a game update arrive hours earlier on their platform; installing that update won’t grant access until the global unlock.
Platforms and access
Redsec will be free to play across PC and console and is delivered as part of the Battlefield 6 Season 1 rollout. If you already have Battlefield 6 installed, check for an update ahead of the launch window. If you plan to jump in right at the top of the hour, expect a brief login queue as servers fill.
Set a reminder for your local time, secure any updates beforehand, and you’ll be ready when the mode flips on.
