Activision and Treyarch will run a six-day multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 from October 2 to October 8, with early access for preorders and an open beta beginning October 5. An official multiplayer deep dive outlines the beta window, playlists, and a first look at maps and modes.

The beta spans PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Start times are scheduled for 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST for both the early access kickoff on October 2 and the open beta rollout on October 5, with the test slated to end at the same time on October 8.

Availability and access

Early access is limited to players who pre-order, with the test opening to all on October 5. Activision says it will share additional multiplayer details during its Call of Duty: NEXT stream on October 1.

Maps and modes in the beta

At launch, Black Ops 7 includes 18 maps (16 Core 6v6 and two 20v20 Skirmish), with six available to try in the beta: Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, and Toshin. The beta playlist will feature Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination, while Gunfight, Kill Order, Search and Destroy, Control, and Free‑For‑All are set for the full release. Activision has also highlighted a new objective mode called Overload in its latest preview.

The full game is scheduled to release on November 14, 2025, with more multiplayer specifics expected during the October 1 showcase.
