NewsSet in Japan, with more details promised in early 2026 and day-one Game Pass support.

Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 6 with a 2026 release, arriving first on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for after launch on its official news site.
The next entry shifts the Horizon Festival to Japan. Microsoft says Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are collaborating to bring the game to PS5 post-launch, continuing the company’s growing pattern of select first-party titles expanding to rival consoles.
Release window and platforms
Forza Horizon 6 is slated for 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. A more specific date hasn’t been announced, and the PS5 version will follow sometime after the initial release window.
Platform | Availability |
---|---|
Xbox Series X|S | 2026 (launch) |
PC | 2026 (launch) |
PlayStation 5 | Post-launch (date TBA) |
As a new release from Xbox Game Studios, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC at launch.
Setting
The series’ open-world driving returns with a new locale: Japan. That’s the only confirmed setting detail so far.
Availability and rollout
Players can wishlist the game now on the official Xbox Store and Steam. Microsoft says more information is coming early next year.
“We’ll be revealing more on FH6 in early 2026,” says Arceta.
With the platform rollout happening in stages and the setting locked to Japan, expect the next substantive update once Microsoft opens up on features and timing in early 2026.
