Grow a Garden’s Christmas Harvest Event explained (mutations, milestones, and rewards)

The Christmas Harvest Event in Roblox Grow a Garden turns the lobby into a snow-covered hub full of elves, timed missions, and limited plants and pets. It runs from December 6 to December 27, 2025, and is split into two main pieces: the Christmas Harvest itself and an Advent Calendar that unlocks the Gingerbread Blossom seed.

Event structure and location

The event hub sits in the center of the main lobby. A sleigh overflowing with gifts marks the Christmas Harvest side, where an elf stands beside a giant present. On the opposite platform another elf handles the Advent Calendar.

The event has two overlapping progress systems:

  • Individual progress – Filling a personal meter by submitting mutated plants to the present. Every full bar pays out presents.
  • Community milestones – Every submitted plant also adds to a global “Gifts Given” total, unlocking rewards and new items in Santa’s Stash for everyone.

Event currency is still Sheckles; you use them mainly in Santa’s Stash and the Seed Shop for new seasonal items like the Peppermint Vine Seed.

Christmas mutations and how scoring works

The core loop of Christmas Harvest is simple: get festive mutations on your plants, then turn those plants in at the present for points and rewards.

Roughly every ten minutes, a Christmas or winter-themed weather pattern rolls through the server. During that window, plants in your garden can gain a Christmas mutation. Several cold or festive mutations count for this event, including:

  • Frozen
  • Chilled
  • Sub-zero
  • Snowy
  • Ornamented
  • Arctic

Once a fruit has any of these Christmas mutations, it becomes valid for submission at the present.

Point values by plant rarity

Each mutated fruit is worth points based on its crop rarity. These points both fill your personal bar and add to the global total.

Rarity Points per mutated fruit
Common1
Uncommon2
Rare3
Legendary4
Mythical5
Divine6
Prismatic7
Transcendent8

Every time you hit 200 points on the personal bar, you receive an individual reward roll. Higher-rarity crops give more points, but fast multi-harvest plants (like strawberries, tomatoes, or coconuts) are usually better for volume.

Submitting plants and getting individual rewards

The present next to Ribbon the Elf handles all Christmas Harvest submissions.

Step 1: Wait for a snowy or Christmas weather event and let it apply mutations like Snowy, Frozen, or Ornamental to your crops.

Step 2: Harvest only the fruits that show a Christmas mutation in their tooltip.

Step 3: Walk to the large present at the event hub and interact with it to submit your mutated fruits and add points.

Step 4: Keep submitting until the personal bar above the present fills to 200 points to trigger a reward.

Each full bar gives you a chance at one of five present types:

Individual reward Approximate chance
Normal Present40%
Christmas Present25%
Rare Present15%
Santa’s Surprise Present15%
Bad Present5%

These presents are loot boxes that can drop seasonal cosmetics, gear, seeds, toys, and pets. Normal and Christmas Presents tend to contain general items like lollipops or Christmas Sprinkler, while Santa’s Surprise Present holds the rarest event content.

Santa’s Surprise Present: seeds and pets

Santa’s Surprise Present is the high-end loot pool for the event. It can be obtained two ways: as an individual reward from submitting plants, and later from Santa’s Stash after the right community milestone is cleared.

The present can roll several Christmas-themed seeds and pets. Known drops include:

Reward Type Notes
Cookie Stack Seed (Common) Basic Christmas crop.
Snow Bunny Pet (Common) Periodically eats a carrot for a Sheckle bonus and grants XP to all bunnies in your garden.
Poinsettia Seed (Uncommon) Christmas flower seed.
French Hen Pet (Uncommon) Boosts size multiplier of Christmas-type plants in range.
Antlerbloom Seed (Legendary) Higher-tier Christmas plant.
Christmas Gorilla Pet (Legendary) Targets fruits with cold mutations to cut down a random cooking time.
Holly Berry Seed (Mythical) High-rarity Christmas fruit.
Krampus Pet (Divine) Occasionally spends a slice of your Sheckles to “punish” the nearest player.

Many of the event’s chase items, like Gift Berry Seed, Snow Bunny, French Hen, Christmas Gorilla, and Krampus, enter the economy primarily through Santa’s Surprise Present and its exotic variants.

Community milestones and Santa’s Stash

While you’re farming your own bar, every submitted mutated fruit also increments a global “Gifts Given” counter. Hitting milestones on that counter unlocks rewards for everyone and expands Santa’s Stash inventory with new items, pets, and weather effects.

15K5× Christmas Presents (requires 50 personal gifts submitted)

9MSanta’s Stocking gear added to Santa’s Stash
9.9M1× Mega Lollipop
11MPet Mutation Shard HyperHunger added to Santa’s Stash

Santa’s Stash itself is a rotating shop in front of the Harvest area that sells event gears and pets such as Christmas Firework, Gift Basket, Penguin, Santa’s Stocking, Pet Mutation Shard HyperHunger, and more. Many of these only appear after the corresponding milestone is cleared, so community participation directly determines how powerful the shop becomes.

Player Gifts and cooperative rewards

On top of presents you open, there is also a separate “Player Gift” item that appears as an individual reward. This is designed to push the global counter upward.

Step 1: Earn a Player Gift by filling your personal bar or from other event actions.

Step 2: Equip the Player Gift in your hotbar while in the lobby.

Step 3: Approach another player and use the gift to send it to them. There is a short cooldown per recipient.

Every time you give a Player Gift, both you and the other player receive a present, and the community “Gifts Given” total increases. That interaction is what drives many of the early milestones, particularly the ones that unlock Gift Rat, Gift Basket, and the first set of free presents.

Advent Calendar and Gingerbread Blossom

Across from the Harvest side, an elf named Presentina runs the Advent Calendar. This is a separate daily mission chain that hands out pre-defined rewards and culminates in the Gingerbread Blossom seed.

The calendar runs for 19 days. Each day has three missions that must be completed before the daily reset to claim that day’s reward. Missions are simple tasks such as planting specific seeds, harvesting certain crops, talking to NPCs, or submitting gifts.

Rewards for the known days include:

Day Reward bundle
1 Bad Present ×5, Normal Present ×3, Rare Present ×1
2 Carrot ×50, Buttercup ×40, Daffodil ×30, Bamboo ×20, Mushroom ×10
3 Reclaimer ×5, Harvest Tool ×10, Event Lantern ×15, Recall Wrench ×20
4 Santa’s Surprise Present ×5, Rare Present ×1
5 Sugar Apple ×1, Ember Lily ×1, Beanstalk ×1
6 Christmas Crate ×4, Christmas Present ×4
7 Mythical Egg ×1, Bug Egg ×1, Jungle Egg ×1, Gem Egg ×1
8 Bad Present ×5, Normal Present ×3, Rare Present ×1
9 Santa’s Surprise Present ×5, Christmas Present ×1
10 Christmas Crate ×5, Harvest Tool ×15, Bug Egg ×1
11 Paradise Egg ×5
12 Strawberry ×10, Blueberry ×5, Grape ×3, Elder Strawberry ×1
13 Normal Present ×10
19 Gingerbread Blossom seed ×1

Completing all 19 days awards the Gingerbread Blossom, which is positioned as one of the strongest seeds in the game, with a base value that slightly edges out Bone Blossom while retaining comparable stats in other areas.

Missing a day is punishing. If you skip a daily set and want the reward, you must restore that day with Robux inside the Advent Calendar UI. There is also an option to skip individual missions using Trade Tokens instead of Robux, which is useful if a mission asks for niche mutations you do not have access to.

New seeds, pets, and gear added with the event

Christmas Harvest introduces a large set of seasonal content across seeds, pets, gear, cosmetics, and food.

Christmas-themed seeds and plants

  • Gingerbread Blossom Seed
  • Peppermint Vine Seed
  • Cookie Stack Seed
  • Poinsettia Seed
  • Antlerbloom Seed
  • Holly Berry Seed
  • Gift Berry Seed
  • Frosty Bite Seed
  • Cryo Rose Seed
  • Bush Flake Seed
  • Rosemary Seed
  • Cryoshard Seed
  • Frostwing Seed
  • Pollen Cone Seed

Peppermint Vine is a limited transcendent seed sold through the Seed Shop with a low chance to appear in normal rotation. It costs 100B Sheckles when it does show up, or can be purchased directly for Robux or Trade Tokens. When planted, Peppermint Vine gives nearby eggs a chance to hatch with the Peppermint pet mutation, which periodically sacrifices 12 random Christmas-type fruits to instantly trigger the pet’s passive.

Christmas pets

  • Penguin
  • Snowman Soldier
  • Snowman Builder
  • Snow Bunny
  • Mistletoad
  • Krampus
  • Gift Rat
  • Arctic Fox
  • Frost Dragon
  • French Hen
  • Christmas Gorilla

Some of these pets directly help with event farming. Penguins and Arctic-themed pets interact with frozen weather, Mistletoad can apply chilled mutations, and Christmas Gorilla focuses on cold-type fruits to reduce cooking timers.

Christmas gear and key shards

  • Christmas Sprinkler
  • Christmas Firework
  • Gift Basket
  • Yule Log
  • Santa’s Stocking
  • Sleigh
  • Snowball
  • GingerBreadManGear
  • Areaclaimer
  • Player Gift
  • Bad, Normal, Rare, Christmas, Santa’s Surprise, Exotic Santa’s Surprise, Rainbow Exotic variants
  • Holiday Seed Pack, Exotic and Rainbow Exotic Holiday Seed Packs
  • Christmas Crate and Holiday Crate
  • Pet Mutation Shard HyperHunger
  • Pet Mutation Shard Nocturnal

HyperHunger is one of the most impactful additions. It dramatically lowers a pet’s passive cooldown when the pet’s hunger is below a threshold, enabling very short-cooldown mimics when combined with toys and high age. Nocturnal and other shards expand build options for pets that you may already be using for farming or cooking.

Played steadily, Christmas Harvest becomes both a Sheckle engine and a source of high-value pets and seeds that will matter long after the snow melts. Keeping an eye on weather timers, rotating fast crops, and participating in Santa’s Stash restocks is enough to walk away from the event with a deep collection of seasonal content and at least one Gingerbread Blossom seed.
