How Hytale creator codes work

Hytale creator codes are simple one-word or short-text identifiers assigned to approved content creators by the game’s developer. When you enter one of these codes during checkout, a fixed percentage of the purchase value is paid out to that creator as commission.

The key points are straightforward. The price you pay for Hytale does not change when you use a creator code, and there are no in-game items, boosts, or gameplay advantages attached to these codes. Only one creator code can be used per purchase, and it must be applied before you finalize payment.

At early access launch, the revenue share for creators is set at 5% of the purchase value, with plans to increase this share to 7% in the future. The program is designed purely as a way to support people who make Hytale content, such as streamers, video creators, modders, or community organizers.

How to use a Hytale creator code at checkout

Creator codes only work during the purchase flow for the game. They cannot be redeemed later inside the client or converted into other rewards.

Step 1: Open the official Hytale site in your browser and go to the purchase or store section. If needed, sign in with the account you plan to use for the game.

Step 2: Choose the Hytale edition you want to buy and start the pre-purchase or checkout process. Proceed until you reach the main payment screen.

Step 3: Locate the text field labeled Creator Code on the checkout page. This field typically appears in the left column or near the order summary, alongside any other code fields.

Step 4: Type the creator code you want to use exactly as shown in the table above. Some codes are all caps, some are lowercase, and some are mixed case, so be precise.

Step 5: Confirm or apply the code if a confirmation button is present. Check for any on-screen message indicating that the creator code has been accepted.

Step 6: Complete your payment normally. Once the transaction is successful, the system automatically records the creator associated with the code and allocates the appropriate revenue share to them.

Successful usage is indicated either by an acceptance message before payment or, in some flows, by the field simply accepting the code without an error. If a code is invalid, the field usually displays an error message and will not associate the purchase with that creator.

How to choose which Hytale creator code to use

Because only one creator code can be applied per transaction, the choice comes down to which creators you want to support most directly. Many codes correspond to recognizable names for specific communities or languages, including general Hytale channels, technical modders, regional community hubs, and variety streamers.

A practical approach is to select the code linked to the person whose Hytale content you watch or use most often. If multiple people you follow have codes, you can decide per purchase which one to back, but you cannot split a single transaction between several creators.

Note: If you are unsure about capitalization or spelling for a code, it is safer to copy it exactly from a reliable listing or from the creator’s own profile rather than guessing. A typo in the code means the purchase will not be attributed and cannot usually be corrected afterward.

Creator codes in Hytale are optional, but using one is an efficient way to channel a portion of your purchase to a specific creator without changing your cost or affecting how the game plays.
