Clans in Jujutsu Zero act as bloodlines that define your character’s passive strengths. Every new character starts with a randomly assigned clan, and that clan grants flat stat boosts and, for higher grades, unique abilities or techniques. Clans stay active at all times and stack with whatever Cursed Techniques and weapons you use.
Clans are separate from Cursed Techniques (CTs). A clan shapes your base stats and passives, while CTs give you active skills obtained from technique banners. Any clan can be paired with any CT, which is why choosing a strong clan early gives a permanent advantage to every build you play later.
Each clan belongs to a grade tier. Higher grades give stronger bonuses to health, cursed energy, and damage, and come with more powerful passives.
| Clan grade | HP bonus | Cursed Energy bonus | Damage bonus | Perk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ??? Grade (Sukuna, Tengen) | +25% | +30% | +20% | Unique, strongest clan passives |
| Special Grade (Gojo, Geto, Zen’in) | +20% | +25% | +15% | Enhanced clan abilities and domains |
| Grade 1 | +15% | +15% | +10% | Strong, versatile clan abilities |
| Grade 2 | +10% | +10% | +5% | Solid, basic clan techniques |
| Grade 3 | +5% | +5% | +2% | Minimal starter bonuses |
Exact numerical values can shift with balance updates, but the hierarchy remains the same: ??? Grade at the top, then Special Grade, then Grade 1, Grade 2, and finally Grade 3 as starter bloodlines.
All clan grades and drop rates
The clan system uses five rarity grades. Each grade has its own per-clan drop rate when you spin in the clan menu.
| Grade | Per-clan drop rate | Clans in grade | General profile |
|---|---|---|---|
| ??? Grade | 1% | Sukuna, Tengen | Extremely rare, top-end power for every mode |
| Special Grade | 5% | Gojo, Geto, Zen’in | Elite bloodlines with domains and strong passives |
| Grade 1 | 14% | Fushiguro, Abe, Okkotsu, Kamo | High-performing, flexible options for most players |
| Grade 2 | 30% | Nanami, Kugisaki, Inumaki, Todo | Reliable mid-tier clans, good early and mid game |
| Grade 3 | 50% | Itadori, Fujiwara, Miwa | Basic starter clans with small boosts |
Most spins land on Grade 2 or Grade 3 bloodlines. With enough rolls, the pity system prevents very long streaks without a strong clan by guaranteeing at least a Grade 1 or higher after many unsuccessful attempts.

Clan-by-clan summary and signature abilities
??? Grade – Sukuna clan. This bloodline channels the King of Curses and unlocks the Malevolent Shrine domain expansion. It offers some of the highest damage in the game for both PvP and PvE, with huge area coverage and burst that can clear bosses and groups quickly. For players focused on raw offense, Sukuna sits at the top of the current meta.
??? Grade – Tengen clan. Tengen specializes in barrier mastery and longevity, giving exceptional survivability and support. Defensive tools and powerful barriers allow very long fights with high uptime, which is valuable in difficult PvE encounters and extended duels.
Special Grade – Gojo clan. Gojo grants the Limitless and Six Eyes lineage. This clan provides space manipulation, strong damage, and near-untouchable defense through abilities like Infinity and the Unlimited Void domain. It is one of the best all-around choices for players who want both damage and safety.
Special Grade – Geto clan. Geto uses Cursed Spirit Manipulation to absorb and command curses. The playstyle focuses on summoning multiple spirits and leveraging their abilities for wide-area damage. It excels in PvE farming and wave content where many enemies can be hit at once.
Special Grade – Zen’in clan. Zen’in grants access to the Ten Shadows Technique, including shikigami such as Divine Dogs, Nue, and eventually Mahoraga. It combines strong damage with utility and flexible summons, performing well in both solo content and team play.

Grade 1 – Fushiguro clan. Fushiguro is a branch related to Zen’in, also focusing on shadow shikigami. It offers strong PvE performance and is easier to pick up than the specialized top-tier clans, making it a good stepping stone while rerolling for Special or ??? Grade later.
Grade 1 – Abe clan. Abe traces back to Abe no Seimei and focuses on soul manipulation. Its attacks can pressure opponents through effects that interact with defenses in unusual ways, giving it strong potential in PvP where mind games and positioning matter.
Grade 1 – Okkotsu clan. Okkotsu is centered around an enormous cursed energy pool. Instead of niche tricks, it gives sustained access to techniques, making it ideal for beginners and for boss fights where you must cast many abilities without running dry.
Grade 1 – Kamo clan. Kamo controls Blood Manipulation, including skills like Flowing Red Scale for speed and mobility boosts and Piercing Blood for ranged offense. It suits aggressive players who want high damage, strong dueling tools, and mobility.
Grade 2 – Nanami clan. Nanami uses the Ratio Technique to mark and attack weak points at specific ratios on targets. This provides very consistent, straightforward damage that feels good for learning combat fundamentals and clearing quests efficiently.
Grade 2 – Kugisaki clan. Kugisaki wields the Straw Doll Technique and Resonance to damage targets indirectly. It mixes mid-range attacks and close-range tools like Hairpin, giving a hybrid style that can adapt to different enemy types.

Grade 2 – Inumaki clan. Inumaki’s Cursed Speech allows commands like “Stop” or “Run away” to directly affect enemies. It shines as a control and utility clan, with particularly strong value in PvP and crowd scenarios where managing enemy movement decides the fight.
Grade 2 – Todo clan. Todo is built around Boogie Woogie, a teleportation clap that swaps positions with targets. This clan has a high skill ceiling because positioning tricks can outplay opponents or set up devastating combos, especially in duels.
Grade 3 – Itadori clan. Itadori focuses on physical power and speed. Techniques like Divergent Fist add cursed energy to punches for solid early-game damage. It is serviceable for learning basic combat, but usually a temporary choice until you secure a higher-grade clan.
Grade 3 – Fujiwara clan. Fujiwara offers basic cursed energy control and broadly balanced stats without any standout signature technique. It is adequate for early quests but is typically seen as something to reroll away from once you have spins.
Grade 3 – Miwa clan. Miwa is oriented around swordplay and Simple Domain (New Shadow Style). It provides a defensive answer to enemy domains and gives good fundamentals for players who like melee weapon builds, despite its modest overall stats.

Rerolling clans from the main menu
Clan rerolls are handled entirely from the main menu, so you can secure a strong bloodline before investing time into quests or mastery.
Step 1: Launch Jujutsu Zero and complete the initial tutorial. When you return to the main menu, stay there instead of entering the world.
Step 2: On the main menu, locate the button labeled for clans (it is one of the three main buttons). Select it to open the clan reroll screen.
Step 3: Press the Roll button to spend a clan spin. Each roll consumes one reroll charge and immediately replaces your current clan with the result shown.
Step 4: Decide whether to keep the new clan or continue rolling. If you are aiming for at least a Grade 1 or any Special/??? Grade bloodline, keep using your available spins until you reach that target.
The clan menu also implements a pity system. After a long streak of bad luck, the game guarantees that you will receive a clan of Grade 1 or higher, preventing you from being stuck on Grade 2–3 forever as long as you keep spinning.
Free clan spins, yen, and lumens
Several currencies interact with the clan system: Clan Spins themselves, yen, and lumens.
Clan Spins. These are the charges consumed each time you press Roll in the clan menu. They can be granted directly by codes or obtained through in-game purchases and rewards.
Lumens. Lumens are a premium-style currency used for technique banners and also for buying clan spins. In the clan menu, you can purchase rolls with lumens at rates such as 175 lumens for one roll or 1,750 lumens for ten rolls.
Yen and the Lumen merchant. Yen is the basic money earned from quests and chests. It pays for unlocking mastery skills on techniques and weapons. You can also convert yen to lumens by talking to the Lumen merchant in-game, at a rate of 100 yen for 1 lumen.
New accounts can receive a very large number of free spins and lumens through limited-time codes. Examples that have been distributed include:
- beta out – provided early players with clan rerolls and lumens.
- shutdown 200 – combined with beta out, added up to roughly 600 total spins and 7,000 lumens for beginners.
- charm – supplied additional spins on top of the first two.
- FREECLANSPINSYES – granted 1,000 free Clan Spins when active.
- GOODLUCKTADORI – offered an extra batch of spins for players still rerolling.

Codes are entered from the main menu.
Step 1: From the main menu, open the tab labeled for codes.
Step 2: Type the code text exactly as given, without extra spaces.
Step 3: Confirm or redeem the code. If it is valid and active, the rewards (clan spins, lumens, or both) are added to your account immediately.
Using these rewards before you start serious questing lets you chase a powerful clan and at least one good Cursed Technique without spending Robux.
Saving and swapping clans with the clan bag
The clan bag system allows you to keep multiple good clans and swap between them without losing anything, which is especially useful while chasing top-tier bloodlines.
Step 1: After rolling a clan you might want later, press the Save button in the clan menu. This moves the current clan into your clan bag and increments a counter such as 1/3 or 2/3.
Step 2: Open the Clan Bag panel in the same menu to view your stored clans. Up to three different clans can be saved for free at a time.
Step 3: To equip a stored clan, select it in the bag and use the swap option. The chosen clan becomes active on your character, and the previous active clan can then be rerolled again if you wish.
This system lets you, for example, save a strong Grade 1 or Special Grade clan like Kamo or Gojo, then continue spinning in search of Sukuna or Tengen. If your new rolls are worse, you can always swap back to the saved clan.
Clan recommendations by playstyle
For pure damage builds. Sukuna and Gojo are the main aggressive picks at the highest rarities. Kamo and Okkotsu also rank very highly for damage-focused players, with Kamo offering offensive Blood Manipulation tools and Okkotsu giving the cursed energy pool needed for nonstop casting.
For tanking and support. Tengen stands out for defensive barrier play and long fights. Geto and Zen’in add a mix of survivability, utility, and summons, providing strong tools for group content and boss encounters where control and endurance matter.
For PvP specialists. Abe, Todo, and Inumaki all offer high outplay potential. Abe’s soul-based techniques pressure defenses, Todo’s Boogie Woogie position swaps can turn fights instantly, and Inumaki’s Cursed Speech enables very strong crowd control when timed correctly.
For beginners. Any Grade 1 clan is a solid starting point, with Okkotsu being especially forgiving thanks to its massive cursed energy pool. Nanami and Itadori are also friendly to new players because their mechanics are straightforward and reward basic combat fundamentals. If you have many free spins from codes, it is usually worth rerolling at least until you secure a Grade 1, or better yet a Special Grade.
Clans define the long-term ceiling of your Jujutsu Zero account, so spending time and free spins early to secure a strong bloodline pays off across every quest, boss, and PvP match. Aim for a clan whose grade and playstyle match your goals, then build your Cursed Techniques and stat tree around its strengths.
