Minecraft is teaming up with Dragon Ball Z on upcoming DLC, and a Super Saiyan hair item is available free for a limited time.

The crossover was teased during the September 2025 Minecraft Live stream, with Mojang saying the DLC is “coming soon.” In a post on X, the official Minecraft account promoted the free Character Creator item and the tie-in’s arrival. Minecraft’s post reads:

Availability and rollout

The free Super Saiyan Hair Character Creator item is available now in the Minecraft Marketplace for Bedrock Edition players. The free claim window runs until November 4, 2025, at 10AM PT; after that, it will be a paid item.

Mojang has not announced a release date for the Dragon Ball Z DLC beyond “coming soon.” Pricing for the DLC has not been detailed.
