Nioh 3 supports shareable Character Creation Codes that instantly apply a full face and body preset to your protagonist, as long as the code matches your platform. Codes starting with N3P work only on PlayStation 5, and codes starting with N3S work only on PC.

How to input a character creation code in Nioh 3
Step 1: Start Nioh 3 and enter the character creator. This happens automatically when you begin a new game, or later from the appearance change feature in your save.
Step 2: On the left side of the character creation screen, move down the list until you highlight Options. This is beneath the voice settings.
Step 3: In the Options panel, choose Input Code. A text field appears, ready for the Character Creation Code.
Step 4: Type or paste the code exactly as shown, including all characters such as /, +, ?, or [. The prefix must match your platform (N3S‑ for PC, N3P‑ for PS5).
Step 5: Confirm the entry. If the code is valid for your platform, the preview model immediately changes to the saved design. If nothing happens or you see an error, recheck the string and platform prefix.
Step 6: Decide whether to apply the imported design to both combat styles or only one. Nioh 3 supports separate looks for Samurai Style and Ninja Style; you can keep them identical or give each form a unique appearance.
Step 7: Save the imported design into a Character Creator slot even if you do not plan to use it right away. This avoids retyping long codes later and lets you switch back and forth between saved presets as needed.
How to create and share your own Nioh 3 character creation code
Step 1: Build or edit your character in the Nioh 3 character creator until you are satisfied with the face, hair, body, and style‑specific looks.
Step 2: Open the Options panel on the character creation screen.
Step 3: Select Create / Manage Codes. The game prompts you to confirm uploading the current character settings.
Step 4: Choose Yes to upload. Nioh 3 automatically generates a new Character Creation Code for that design, tagged to your platform (starting with N3P on PS5 or N3S on PC).
Step 5: Note or copy the generated code from the Create / Manage Codes list. You can store up to 10 designs there and share any of them with other players on the same platform.
Other ways to reuse character designs in Nioh 3
Nioh 3 includes additional tools to reuse appearances without a visible code.
Step 1: In the character creator, open Options again and look for the setting related to Appearance Of Encountered Players. When enabled, this feature lets you save looks from Visitors, Acolytes, and co‑op companions you meet during online play.
Step 2: Use the browsing tool for other players’ appearances. Designs are grouped by male and female, which simplifies narrowing down a base look before you make further edits.
Step 3: If you want a consistent visual theme in co‑op, adjust the Appearance of Other Players option so that visitors match a chosen template, including your own character if you prefer.
Once you understand how Character Creation Codes and appearance options work, you can rapidly swap between these presets, fine‑tune them, and still keep your own custom designs stored safely in the character creator slots.
