Nioh 3 character creation codes (February 2026) — PC and PS5 list

Update: We found 3 new Nioh 3 character creation codes on February 13, 2026 and added them to the list. We also removed expired codes.

Nioh 3 lets you load complete character designs by entering short character creation codes. These codes are platform specific, so PC and PS5 players need different codes even for the same character.

Nioh 3 character code rules (PC vs PS5)

Nioh 3 does not share character codes between platforms. Each code is tied to the platform it was created on, and there is no cross‑platform import.

  • PC codes always start with N3S and only work on the PC version.
  • PS5 codes always start with N3P and only work on the PS5 version.

If you try to enter a code from the other platform, the game simply will not accept it as valid.

How to enter Nioh 3 character codes at the start of the game

You can use a character creation code immediately during the opening character creator.

Step 1: Start a new game and wait until the character creation screen appears after the opening cutscene. Do not finalize your character yet.

Step 2: On the Character Creation menu, move to the Options button in the lower corner of the screen and select it.

Step 3: Choose Input Code from the Options menu. This opens the code entry window.

Step 4: Carefully type the full character code, including the dash and any symbols such as ?, [, or &, then confirm.

Step 5: When the code is accepted, select whether to Apply All (same appearance for Samurai and Ninja styles) or Apply by Style (different designs for each style).

Step 6: Return to the main Character Creation screen, review the design, and select Finalize Settings to lock in the imported appearance for your playthrough.

You know the import has worked when your character model immediately changes to match the preview of the selected design.

How to enter character codes later in the Eternal Rift

If you want to change your look mid‑playthrough, you can also use codes in the Eternal Rift hub.

Step 1: Progress the story until the Eternal Rift hub unlocks. Travel there from the world map.

Step 2: From the starting point in the Eternal Rift, go into the main house on the left and climb to the first floor.

Step 3: Walk past Saito Fuku and interact with the large mirror to open the appearance options.

Step 4: Select Change Your Appearance, then on the Character Creation screen open Options and choose Input Code.

Step 5: Enter a valid code exactly as written, pick whether to apply it to both styles or one style, then go back and use Finalize Settings when you are satisfied.

Once applied and finalized, your character will immediately use the new appearance in all gameplay and cutscenes.

How to create and share your own Nioh 3 character code

Nioh 3 can generate a shareable code for any design you create, letting other players load your appearance instantly.

Step 1: Open the Character Creation menu, either at the start of a game or by using the mirror in the Eternal Rift and choosing Change Your Appearance.

Step 2: Adjust every part of your character until you are happy with the final look. Make sure both Samurai and Ninja styles are configured the way you intend.

Step 3: On the Character Creation screen, select Options, then choose Create / Manage Codes.

Step 4: Confirm that you want to upload the current appearance settings. The game then generates a new character creation code tied to your platform.

Step 5: View the generated code in the Create / Manage Codes list and note it down so you can share it with other players.

Anyone on the same platform who enters that code in the Input Code menu will be able to load your exact character design.

Common reasons Nioh 3 character codes fail

If a code is not accepted, one of a few predictable issues is usually the cause.

  • Wrong platform prefix — Check whether the code starts with N3S (PC) or N3P (PS5). Using a code from the other platform will always fail.
  • Missing or changed symbols — Many codes rely on symbols such as ?, ], or +. Any missing or substituted symbol makes the code invalid.
  • Case or spacing errors — The game treats uppercase and lowercase characters distinctly and expects the dash in the correct place. Extra spaces before or after the code will also cause problems.
  • Creator changed or removed the design — If the original creator overwrites or deletes the uploaded appearance, the old code no longer points to a valid design and will stop working.

When you encounter a code that appears correct but still fails, double‑check every character, confirm you are on the right platform, and then assume the original design may have been altered if it still does not load.
