The Psyduck and Torchic Wonder Pick event in Pokémon TCG Pocket is a limited-time way to grab two new alternate-art promo cards and a full set of Psyduck-themed accessories without spending PokéGold. Everything hinges on Wonder Picks, a special Chansey Pick that eats Wonder Stamina, and a free Bonus Pick that shows up on your Wonder Pick board.
Event schedule and basic rules
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Main event window | November 27, 2025 at 6:00 AM UTC – December 7, 2025 at 5:59 AM UTC |
| Event shop availability | Until December 14, 2025 at 6:00 AM UTC |
| Featured promo cards | PROMO-B-007 Torchic, PROMO-B-008 Psyduck (alternate art of their Mega Rising prints) |
| Event currency | Event Shop Ticket (Psyduck) |
| Core systems | Chansey Pick (paid Wonder Pick), Bonus Pick (free Wonder Pick) |
During the event window, Wonder Picks can occasionally be replaced by special Psyduck/Torchic picks that either cost Wonder Stamina (Chansey Pick) or are completely free (Bonus Pick). On top of that, event missions track how many times you use Wonder Pick and how many Fire/Water cards you pull, paying out tickets and a small pile of Trade Tokens.
Psyduck & Torchic Chansey Pick (paid Wonder Pick)
Chansey Pick is the premium part of this event: a high-value Wonder Pick board made entirely of the two promo cards.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Cards in the pack | 5 cards, all PROMO-B-007 Torchic and PROMO-B-008 Psyduck in some combination |
| Cost | 2 Wonder Stamina (24 Wonder Hourglass) |
| Spawn chance | 2.5% each time Wonder Pick selections refresh |
| Lifetime once spawned | Can expire between 30 minutes and 4 hours after appearing |
Every Chansey Pick guarantees at least one copy of each promo across the five cards; the remaining slots are filled with either extra Psyduck or extra Torchic. Because of the low 2.5% appearance rate and the 2 Stamina cost, it makes sense to bank Wonder Hourglasses in advance if you care about finishing playsets of both promos.
Chansey Pick checks happen whenever one of your Wonder Picks expires or your board refreshes, so the more consistently you clear or let picks time out, the more rolls you get at that 2.5% trigger.
Psyduck & Torchic Bonus Pick (free Wonder Pick)
Bonus Pick is the free counterpart to Chansey Pick. It never spends Stamina and layers in Event Shop Tickets and Wonder Hourglasses alongside a single Psyduck or Torchic card.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Cost | 0 Stamina (completely free to open) |
| Spawn chance | 20% each time the Wonder Pick board refreshes |
| Lifetime once spawned | Can expire between 30 minutes and 4 hours after appearing |
| Can overlap with Chansey Pick? | Yes, both can appear at the same time on the board |
Each Bonus Pick during this event follows the same resource structure: it gives two Event Shop Tickets and two Wonder Hourglasses, plus one of the two promo cards.
| Bonus Pick option | Chance | Guaranteed items | Promo card slot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Option 1 | 30% | 1 Event Shop Ticket + 1 Event Shop Ticket + 1 Wonder Hourglass + 1 Wonder Hourglass | ONE OF: PROMO-B-007 Torchic or PROMO-B-008 Psyduck |
| Option 2 | 70% | Same tickets and hourglasses as Option 1 | ONE OF: PROMO-B-007 Torchic or PROMO-B-008 Psyduck |
Functionally, both options behave the same for most players: every Bonus Pick is a bundle of two event tickets, two Wonder Hourglasses, and one random copy of either Psyduck or Torchic promo. The 30/70 split only matters for internal distribution, not for how you interact with the pick.
Because it costs nothing and hands you both progression tickets and Hourglasses, Bonus Pick is the main driver for free rewards. Checking your Wonder Pick board regularly during the event is the simplest way to avoid missing these four-hour windows.
Event missions and how many tickets you can earn
Alongside Wonder Picks, a set of Event missions pays out Event Shop Tickets and a one-time chunk of Trade Tokens. Missions track both promo collection and raw Wonder Pick usage, plus how many Fire- and Water-type cards you pull during the event.
| Mission | Reward |
|---|---|
| Collect 1 Psyduck Promo Card (PROMO-B-008) | 1 Event Shop Ticket |
| Collect 1 Torchic Promo Card (PROMO-B-007) | 1 Event Shop Ticket |
| Wonder Pick 1 time | 2 Event Shop Tickets + 200 Trade Tokens |
| Wonder Pick 2 times | 2 Event Shop Tickets |
| Wonder Pick 3 times | 2 Event Shop Tickets |
| Wonder Pick 4 times | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
| Wonder Pick 5 times | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
| Wonder Pick 6 times | 5 Event Shop Tickets |
| Collect 5 Fire cards | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
| Collect 5 Water cards | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
| Collect 10 Fire cards | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
| Collect 10 Water cards | 3 Event Shop Tickets |
Clearing every mission yields a large stack of Event Shop Tickets from missions alone, before counting any you pull out of Bonus Picks. The missions do not require multiplayer wins or ranked play: regular Wonder Picks and ordinary pack openings during the event period are enough.
Tip: If you want to front-load your rewards, prioritize hitting six Wonder Picks early in the event. That single mission chain represents the biggest block of guaranteed tickets tied directly to Wonder Pick usage.
Event Shop: every Psyduck-themed reward and cost
Event Shop Tickets (Psyduck) are the currency for a limited tab in the in-game Shop, stocked entirely with Psyduck-branded cosmetics plus bulk Shinedust. The shop remains open for an extra week after the Wonder Pick portion ends, giving you time to convert your tickets.
| Item | Type | Cost (Event Shop Tickets) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Psyduck display board 1 (ICON_BOARD_100880-1) | Display board backdrop | 3 | Board artwork featuring Psyduck |
| Autumn-themed board/file (ICON_FILE_100740) | Backdrop / cover-style cosmetic | 3 | Seasonal visual theme that pairs with Psyduck set |
| Psyduck display board 2 (ICON_BOARD_100870) | Display board backdrop | 3 | Alternate board design |
| Psyduck Pokémon coin (COIN_100650_KODUCK_BattleCoin) | Battle coin | 5 | Used for flips at the start of matches |
| Psyduck playmat (PLAYMAT_100450_KODUCK_PlayMat) | Playmat | 10 | Most expensive visual item in the event |
| Psyduck deck shield (DECKSHIELD_100450_KODUCK_DeckShield) | Card sleeves | 5 | Custom sleeves for decks |
| Psyduck profile icon (PROFILE_ICON_100550_KODUCK) | Profile icon | 2 | Avatar icon featuring Psyduck |
| 50 Shinedust | Currency | 1 | Limit 20 purchases (1,000 Shinedust total) |
Because Shinedust conversions are capped at 20 purchases, you can only turn a limited share of your tickets into crafting currency. If you want the full cosmetic set and the maximum Shinedust, you need to budget carefully against your mission and Bonus Pick earnings.
The shop does not sell the Psyduck and Torchic promo cards themselves. Those remain tied to Wonder Picks and missions that ask you to collect them, plus any rerun systems that may be added later in the game’s lifecycle.
How to prioritize your time and Hourglasses
The event is structured so that casual players can still walk away with meaningful rewards, but optimizing a bit makes a difference:
- Save Wonder Stamina for Chansey Picks. With a 2.5% spawn rate, it is easy to burn through Stamina on ordinary Wonder Picks and then miss a Chansey Pick when it finally appears. Keeping a buffer of at least 2 Stamina (24 Wonder Hourglass) lets you cash it in immediately.
- Log in frequently for Bonus Picks. A 20% chance on each board refresh plus a timer that can be as short as 30 minutes means the simplest way to miss tickets is to not check in. Bonus Picks are pure profit and should be tapped as soon as you see them.
- Let normal Wonder Picks expire if you are low on Stamina. Expirations still trigger the spawn checks for both Chansey and Bonus Picks. If you don’t need the current boards, you can simply wait them out instead of spending Pack or Wonder Hourglasses.
- Finish Fire and Water collection missions naturally. You do not need to force specific decks; Fire and Water pulls from packs during the event will add up while you chase promos and Solo battle rewards.
Once the Wonder Pick portion ends on December 7, only the shop window remains. That last week is purely administrative: log in, convert your tickets into Psyduck boards, mats, sleeves, coins, icons, and as much Shinedust as you want within the limit.
