Roblox codes fall into two main groups: promo codes for virtual items and special rewards, and gift card PINs that add credit or Robux to your account. Both are redeemed through official Roblox pages or, on some Samsung devices, directly in the Roblox app.
How Roblox promo codes work
Promo codes grant credit, Robux, or virtual items to your Roblox account. They are distributed through Roblox events and giveaways and often expire after a short period.
Step 1: Log in to the correct Roblox account in a web browser. Open the login page at roblox.com/login if you are not already signed in.
Step 2: Go to the promo code redemption page at roblox.com/promocodes.
Step 3: Enter your promo code exactly as shown into the text box, then click Redeem.
Step 4: Confirm that a success message appears and then check your inventory or balance to see what you received. Depending on the code, you will get Credit, Robux, or a virtual item.
To verify a virtual item, open your avatar inventory and look in the relevant category; for Robux or credit, check your balance from your account menu.
Fix common Roblox promo code redemption issues
Most problems with promo codes come from account mix-ups, typos, or expiration.
Step 1: Make sure you are logged into the intended account before entering the code. If you redeemed it on a different account, it cannot be moved.
Step 2: Return to the promo code redemption page at roblox.com/promocodes and re-enter the code carefully. Pay special attention to characters that can be confused, such as 0 vs O.
Step 3: Open your inventory to confirm whether you already own the item tied to the code. If it is already there, you will not receive it again.
Note: Promo codes are often time-limited. Once a code has expired, it can no longer be redeemed.
How Roblox gift card PINs work
Roblox gift cards are redeemed as either Credit (real-money value you can spend on Robux or Roblox Premium) or as Robux that go directly to your balance. Standard Roblox gift cards must be redeemed through a browser; they do not redeem inside the mobile app or console versions.
Step 1: In a web browser, go to the gift card redemption page at roblox.com/redeem.
Step 2: Log in or create a Roblox account if you do not already have one.
Step 3: Find your PIN or code on the physical card (usually under a scratch-off area) or in your digital gift card email, then enter it into the Code box.
Step 4: Click Redeem. A success message confirms that Credit or Robux has been added to your account.
Roblox notes that some letters and numbers can be mistaken for each other. If the PIN is rejected, try these common substitutions:

Confirm Roblox credit and Robux after redeeming a gift card
After redeeming a gift card, the added value appears on your account.
Step 1: Stay logged in and look at the gift card redemption page at roblox.com/redeem. Your available Credit is shown there if you have any.
Step 2: To see your Robux balance, use the standard Robux display in the site header while signed in. Any Robux-type card applies directly to this balance.
If you do not see the expected amount, wait a short time and refresh the page. If the problem continues, you may need to contact Roblox support.
Spend Roblox credit from a gift card
Roblox Credit can be converted to a Roblox Premium Membership or Robux once enough Credit is available on your account.
Step 1: Choose where to convert your Credit. You can do this on the gift card redemption page, the Premium Membership page at roblox.com/premium/membership, or the Robux purchase page at roblox.com/upgrades/robux.
Step 2: Select the specific Premium plan or Robux amount you want and click Buy. If you have enough Credit, Roblox uses that balance instead of charging another payment method.
Step 3: If you still have unused Credit after the purchase, Roblox can offer to convert the remaining amount into additional Robux. Click Buy to convert it, or Cancel to keep the leftover Credit for later use.
Redeem Roblox codes in the Samsung Galaxy Roblox app
On Samsung Galaxy devices, the Roblox app includes built-in options for purchasing gift cards and redeeming codes inside the app.
Step 1: Open the Roblox app on your Samsung Galaxy device and sign in if needed.
Step 2: Tap the More page in the app interface.
Step 3: For buying gift cards, tap the Gift Cards tile. A Gift Cards page opens in a webview; tap Shop Gift Cards to be taken to the browser page where you complete the purchase.
Step 4: For redeeming a code, tap the Redeem tile on the More page and enter your Roblox code in the field provided.
If a gift code redemption in the Samsung app returns an error, Roblox support requests that you submit a ticket through the official support form at roblox.com/support.
Note: Roblox does not issue gift codes for external promotional purchases made outside Roblox. Missing promotional codes from third-party offers cannot be reissued by Roblox.
When a Roblox code does not work
If any Roblox code fails, check these points before contacting support:
Step 1: Confirm that you entered the code exactly, including all characters, and retry once for safety. For gift cards, apply the character substitutions table above if needed.
Step 2: Ensure you are on the correct redemption page for the type of code: use the general Redeem Codes page at roblox.com/redeem for gift cards and many codes, and the Promo Codes page at roblox.com/promocodes for standard promo codes.
Step 3: Check whether the code might have already been used or expired. Promo codes especially are time-limited, and once expired they cannot be applied.
If you still cannot redeem a valid, unused gift card PIN, Roblox support can investigate. Provide your username, purchase details, the gift card PIN and serial number, and clear images of the card and receipt as requested on the support form at roblox.com/support.
Using the correct redemption page, double-checking characters, and verifying your balance or inventory right after redemption ensures you know immediately whether a Roblox code has worked and what it added to your account.
