Roblox Plus Launches April 30 — Pricing, Perks, and How It Differs From Premium

Roblox is splitting its subscription model in two. A new membership called Roblox Plus launches on April 30, 2026, priced at $4.99 per month. At the same time, Roblox Premium — the platform's long-standing paid tier — is being closed to new subscribers on that same date. If you're trying to figure out which one to get, what you'll actually receive, and whether the math works out, here's the full breakdown.

Quick answer: Roblox Plus costs $4.99/month, gives you a 10% discount on all in-game Robux purchases (rising to 20% after three consecutive months), free private servers, fee-free Robux transfers, item trading, and avatar item publishing — but it does not include any monthly Robux.

What Roblox Plus includes

Unlike Roblox Premium, which hands you a lump of Robux every month, Roblox Plus is built around saving money on what you already spend. The core benefit is a tiered discount on every in-game purchase made with Robux.

BenefitDetails
Robux purchase discount10% immediately; increases to 20% after 3 consecutive months
Free private serversOne free private server for every game
Fee-free Robux transfersSend Robux to other players without a transaction fee (parental approval required for child accounts)
Item trading and resaleTrade or resell avatar items you own
Avatar item publishingDesign and sell your own avatar items on the Roblox Marketplace, with commissions up to 70%

Monthly Robux stipendNone (base plan)

Roblox has confirmed that future "Roblox Plus bundles" will combine the subscription with monthly Robux in tiers of 500, 1,000, or 2,000 — but pricing for those bundles has not been announced yet.

Roblox Plus pricing and break-even math

The base Roblox Plus membership runs $4.99 per month. Because the subscription itself doesn't come with any Robux, its value depends entirely on how much you spend in-game. During your first three months, the 10% discount means you'd need to spend roughly $50 worth of Robux per month just to offset the subscription cost. Once the discount doubles to 20% after three months, the break-even point drops to about $25 per month in Robux spending.

If you're a casual player who picks up a few hundred Robux here and there, the numbers don't favor signing up. Roblox Plus is designed for heavy spenders — players (or their parents) who are already regularly buying Robux for avatar items, game passes, and other in-game purchases.

What's happening to Roblox Premium

Roblox Premium will no longer be available for purchase after April 30, 2026. If you already have an active Premium subscription, you can keep it — but if you cancel, you won't be able to resubscribe.

On May 30, 2026, additional changes take effect for existing Premium members. Here's what stays and what goes.

Staying the sameBeing removed
Monthly Robux stipend (based on your plan tier)10% bonus on Robux purchases
Item trading and resalePremium profile logo
Avatar item publishing and sales (Premium 1000/2200 only)

The loss of the 10% Robux purchase bonus is notable. That perk currently stacks with Premium's monthly stipend, making it one of the more tangible reasons to stay subscribed. After May 30, Premium essentially becomes a Robux delivery service with trading privileges — many of which Roblox Plus also offers.

⚠️
If your Premium renewal fails, Roblox will retry for up to 72 hours. If it still can't process, your membership will be canceled permanently — and you will not be able to resubscribe after April 30.

For players who value a guaranteed monthly Robux deposit, existing Premium subscriptions still hold an edge — at least until the Plus bundles with included Robux arrive. But for anyone focused on stretching their Robux further through discounts, Roblox Plus is the clear successor.

How to subscribe to Roblox Plus

Step 1: Open the Roblox app on your phone or visit the Roblox website on desktop. On a computer, click "More" on the left sidebar. On mobile, tap "More" in the bottom-right corner.

Step 2: Look for the subscription or membership option. On mobile, it appears near the top right of the menu. On desktop, it's in the top row of the expanded menu.

Step 3: Select the Roblox Plus plan and tap or click "Subscribe Now." You'll be taken to checkout, where you can pay with a credit or debit card, PayPal, or a Roblox gift card.

Step 4: Enter your payment details and confirm by pressing "Pay and Subscribe." Your membership activates immediately, and the 10% in-game discount applies right away. Keep in mind the subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.

💡
Roblox Plus launches on April 30, 2026. If you try to subscribe before that date, you'll only see Roblox Premium options.

How to cancel

Cancellation works the same way it does for Premium. If you subscribed through the desktop app or website, go to Settings → Subscriptions and click "Cancel Renewal." If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app, you'll need to manage the subscription through your device's app store settings — the cancel option won't appear inside Roblox itself.

After canceling, you keep your benefits for the remainder of the billing period you've already paid for. Renewals are non-refundable, so cancel before your next renewal date if you want to avoid being charged again.

Roblox Plus represents a meaningful shift in how Roblox monetizes its platform — moving from a "here's your monthly Robux" model toward a discount-driven membership that rewards consistent spenders. Whether it's worth $4.99 a month comes down to a simple question: do you regularly spend $25 or more on Robux each month? If not, you're better off waiting to see what the upcoming Plus bundles look like before committing.
