On the road to Rinko’s house in Ebisugaoka, Silent Hill f tucks a compact puzzle into the local doctor’s residence. It’s easy to miss—and it’s where you pick up the Pine Omamori, a hidden charm that permanently increases your maximum health. Here’s how to get in, what to pick up, and how to trigger the locked room upstairs without wasting time.

Find the Doctor’s House (Ebisugaoka second visit)

From the main path by the rice fields, head north. The first house on the left is the doctor’s place. The front door won’t cooperate, so go around back, climb the ladder, and vault through the second-floor window.

  • Inside, follow the blood trail. The first door on the right holds a lifeless monster on the bed.
  • Attempting the next doors will cause one to slam shut and stay that way—for now.
  • There’s no further progress upstairs yet. Head downstairs.

Retrieve the Drawer Key from the downstairs chest

At the foot of the stairs, you can either turn left through the doors or continue toward the kitchen area. In the kitchen you can pick up Kudzu Tea; nearby, an open room holds Arare on a shelf and, most importantly, a wooden chest/box on a central table.

  • Interact with the box and rotate it. Ignore the main compartment surprise; focus on the three small side drawers revealed when you rotate it left.
  • Open the left of those three small drawers to collect the Drawer Key.

Use the key upstairs, then enter the Doctor’s Office

Return upstairs to the bedroom where the body was. It’s gone. Use the Drawer Key on the set of drawers in that room to obtain the Local Doctor’s Note (labeled “Local Doctor’s Note 4”).

This action quietly changes the state of the second upstairs room—the door that shut on you will now be slightly ajar.

  • Open the now-ajar room. This is the Doctor’s Office.
  • Notable interactables here include scratch marks on the wall, the document “Autopsy Report: Undetermined Cause of Death” on the desk, and a mannequin with part of its brain exposed.
  • The Pine Omamori is in a dresser drawer next to that mannequin. Open it and collect the charm.

Quick reference steps (Doctor’s House → Pine Omamori)

Step Where Interact Outcome
Enter the house Back of first house on left, north along fields Climb ladder, vault second-floor window Upstairs hallway accessible; one door slams shut
Get the key Downstairs open room off kitchen Rotate chest/box; open left small side drawer Drawer Key acquired
Read the note Upstairs bedroom (where body was) Use Drawer Key on drawers Local Doctor’s Note obtained; locks update
Open the office Second upstairs room (now ajar) Enter; check desk and mannequin area Collect “Autopsy Report” document
Collect the charm Doctor’s Office Open dresser drawer beside mannequin Pine Omamori (max health increase)

Combat and pacing notes

  • Expect roaming enemies near the fields and a spawn when exiting the office area. You can either engage or sprint back to the entry window and climb down.
  • If the upstairs door stays shut: confirm you used the Drawer Key and read the note in the first bedroom; that’s the trigger for the office door to open.

Where this sequence sits in Silent Hill f’s design

The Doctor’s House is a tight example of the game’s rhythm: explore, observe a locked state, pivot downstairs for a tactile puzzle, then loop back to a newly available room. The emphasis on close-quarters navigation and melee-leaning encounters matches Silent Hill f’s broader shift toward more action-forward play, while still keeping the series’ puzzle cadence and elliptical storytelling intact.

It also showcases the grounded Japanese setting—labyrinthine town paths, a 1960s backdrop, and intimate interiors—built to lean into a “terror in beauty” aesthetic. Character beats outside this segment reinforce that small-town focus: you’re moving toward Rinko’s house with Hinako, while Shu’s medical background threads through documents like the local autopsy, and the shrine-bound threads with Sakuko tie into nearby paths you’ll reach shortly after.

What to do after the office

When you’re done inside, return to the window you used to enter, vault out, and climb down. Continue north toward the Sennensugi Shrine—progress on that path unfolds additional items tied to your visit toward Rinko’s place.
