Imbued Fruits are Absolum’s meta-progression currency for making Rituals stronger between runs. You’ll start collecting them early, but you can’t spend any until you bring a specific NPC back to your hub. Here’s how the loop works, step by step.

Earn Imbued Fruits by leveling Radiance after each run

At the end of a run, your Radiance Level at the Sanctuary increases based on how far you got and how well you performed. Every Radiance Level grants one reward: either a Primordial Seed or an Imbued Fruit. Going deeper reliably raises Radiance and, by extension, your chances of getting Fruits.

There’s a second source as well: tasks and challenges from Wisshelm the Archivist can award extra Imbued Fruits. If you’re short, check in with Wisshelm at the Sanctuary and clear any available assignments.

Unlock Vikhana the Joyful to start spending Fruits

You won’t see any option to upgrade Rituals until Vikhana the Joyful joins your hub. To recruit her:

  • Defeat the Underking in Grandery.
  • Leave Grandery and sail to Jaroba.
  • Early in Jaroba, you’ll encounter Vikhana under attack. Eliminate the surrounding enemies to free her.

Vikhana returns to the Sanctuary (Uchawi’s Hearth) as an interactable NPC. From then on, she handles all Ritual upgrades in exchange for Imbued Fruits.

Note: If you’re stuck on the Underking or the lead-up to Jaroba, lowering the difficulty is an option to keep progression moving.

How spending works: upgrade Rituals with Vikhana

Interact with Vikhana at Uchawi’s Hearth to invest Imbued Fruits into Rituals. Upgrades target individual Ritual families (for example, Thunder) and improve the strength of the Rituals you can roll during a run. The buffs don’t apply universally; they activate when that Ritual appears and you pick it in a run.

  • Each upgrade or unlock costs one Imbued Fruit.
  • You can improve specific Ritual variants within an element to push damage, coverage, or added effects.
  • As you progress, some upgrades unlock new or combined elemental effects.
Tip: If you favor a particular element, focusing your early Fruits on that family makes future runs more consistent, since your most-picked options get stronger faster.

Ways to get more Imbued Fruits quickly

  • Push deeper in runs to raise Radiance Level more often, generating more reward rolls that can be Fruits.
  • Complete Wisshelm’s challenges at the Sanctuary for targeted Fruit rewards.

Over time, you’ll build a steady stockpile simply by playing, but pairing deeper runs with Archivist tasks accelerates unlocks at Vikhana.

What to expect after investing Fruits

Ritual upgrades are long-term power. They won’t flip a current run, but they steadily raise the ceiling on future builds, especially once you’ve concentrated upgrades in a few elements you often pick. Absolum still asks you to execute in the moment, but with Vikhana unlocked and a few Fruits spent, your best Rituals start doing more of the heavy lifting.
