Meta picks at a glance (evolved)
Role | Best units | Why they’re meta |
---|---|---|
Hybrid DPS | Brulo (Rage), Shadow (Atomic), Igrith (Blood Commander) | Massive sustained DPS with burst (Brulo), stun-synergy crits (Shadow), and top-end scaling that spikes next to Sun Woo (Igrith). Hybrid unlocks on upgrades. |
Ground DPS | Sun Woo (System), Nagu (Blade Trickster), Lao (Heart) | Sun Woo’s summons snowball damage; Nagu copies ally stats for huge crit builds; Lao is the cleanest raw DPS anchor. |
Hill DPS | Goko (Perfected Super III / Super III), Heisou (Bird Sniper), Chonin (Flame Master) | Goko ramps on kills and shreds fliers; Heisou covers absurd range; Chonin burns and hits even harder versus Frozen targets. |
Support (must‑have) | Speedcart, AI (Idol) | Economy every wave (Speedcart) and universal cost reduction/team buff (AI). These two unlock every comp. |
Support (control) | Goju (Supreme), Shunks (Haki), Koichy, Greybeard, Ukia | AoE time stop/stuns (Goju/Shunks) and reliable slows/freezes (Koichy/Greybeard/Ukia) to catch leaks and set up crit passives. |
Best hybrid DPS: Brulo, Shadow, Igrith
Brulo (Rage) is the hybrid benchmark. He stacks strong sustained damage and detonates a big burst on a fixed attack cadence, letting him clear waves and chunk bosses. He becomes Hybrid after upgrades, so plan early ground placement.
Shadow (Atomic) hits like a truck but truly spikes when enemies are disabled. His crit-boost passive works on stunned targets, so pair him with Shunks or Goju to keep lanes locked and Shadow critting.
Igrith (Blood Commander) posts elite numbers in his own right and supercharges when Sun Woo is on the map. Their interaction buffs nearby allies off Sun Woo’s kills while Igrith’s stats climb, making the duo a top Infinite core. Like the others, Igrith gains Hybrid on upgrade.

Best ground DPS: Sun Woo, Nagu, Lao (with high-ceiling mythic backups)
Sun Woo (System) builds a board by summoning high-DPS shadows and then scales his own output with them. The evolved form goes further with an elite summon, so his total damage footprint grows as fights drag on.
Nagu (Blade Trickster) can “Disguise” to copy ally stats and stacks a critical build that spikes in longer modes. He shines in Infinite, where you have time to copy five different units and then clone your top DPS for enormous returns.
Lao (Heart) is the simple answer when you want raw damage, fast SPA, and dependable range. No gimmicks—just top-line numbers that carry any ground lane.

Great mythic backups you can rotate into the ground slot:
- Boo (Ultimate): snowballs damage on kills; at high stacks he fires “echo” follow-ups that mulch waves in Infinite.
- Shaoten (Dizzy): very high damage ceiling with a chance-based “Dizzy” mode; misses can feel rough, but good rolls rival secrets.
- Toju (Mercenary): single-target menace with Bleed damage and stacking hits—excellent for boss phases.
- Fat Hitman (Serious): ramps hard after many attacks (slow start, huge endgame with traits and attack chains).

Best hill DPS: Goko on top, with Heisou and Chonin as flexible alternates
Goko (Super III; evolved as Perfected Super III) is the hill slot to beat. He gains damage and crit chance as he racks up kills and reliably deletes flying waves.
Heisou (Bird Sniper) offers some of the best range in the game, letting you cover multiple bends from a single perch. He gains damage over consecutive shots and auto-crits on a cadence, making attack speed traits extra valuable.
Chonin (Flame Master) falls just behind Goko for pure DPS but brings strong burn damage and a big damage bonus against Frozen enemies—pair him with Ukia to cash in.

Supports you build around
- Speedcart (Epic): near-mandatory economy unit that funds your win condition in Story, Raids, and Dungeons.
- AI (Idol) (Mythic): universal cost reduction and teamwide buffs; increases damage and HP while lowering upgrade bills.
- Goju (Supreme) (Mythic): massive damage and AoE time control for clutch holds; SPA is long, so invest where it matters.
- Shunks (Haki) (Mythic): stuns on cooldown, accelerates kill confirms on low-HP targets, and sets up Shadow/Enol passives.
- Koichy / Greybeard (Legendary): budget slows and magic-vulnerability support with full-lane utility.
- Ukia (Legendary): reliable Freeze to set up Chonin’s bonus damage and stall leaks.

Beginner and budget picks that still punch above their weight
Working your way up? These are efficient early and mid-game choices while you chase secrets and mythics:
- Getu (Master of Curses) (Mythic): a durable summoner whose units hit ground and air; functions like a hybrid and is excellent for early progression.
- Enol (Drums) (Mythic): hybrid on placement; spikes with stuns/slows on the map for a targeted damage burst.
- Slime (Demon Lord) (Mythic): strong DPS with a situational devour boost; evolves into hybrid; available via Battle Pass.
- Haein (Sword Queen) (Mythic): marks targets and deals bonus damage on a predictable hit pattern; inexpensive traits like Overdrive help her proc windows.
- Hie (Black Dragon) (Battle Pass): excels against sub‑50% HP enemies when piloted well, and easy to obtain while you learn the ropes.
- Ant King (Shadow Fang) (Mythic, limited): steady sustained DPS; rotate in if you missed secrets on the banner.
- Ichi (Dusk) (Mythic): transformation loop that detonates crowds; setup-heavy but highly rewarding once rolling.
- Legendary starters: Rose (best budget ground DPS), Golden Freezo and Ureo (reliable hill DPS).
- Epic fillers: Gone (top early ground), Makunouchi (close second), Friezo and Stork (beginner hill coverage), Speedcart (farm).

Synergies that matter
- Igrith + Sun Woo: Sun Woo’s kills trigger Igrith’s team buff and boost Igrith’s own stats, pushing the pair to the top of Infinite comps.
- Shadow + stuns: Keep lanes disabled with Shunks/Goju so Shadow’s crit passive stays live; this is how Shadow matches Brulo’s consistency.
- Chonin + Ukia: Chonin deals extra damage to Frozen targets; Ukia’s Freeze turns normal waves into burnable piles.
- Nagu + raw-stat carries: Copy high-stat units (Lao, Ant King, etc.) after stacking Nagu’s passive for a clean crit-based spike.

Summoning, evolving, and rerolls
Where to summon: Head to the Summon area from the lobby spawn. You can pick a standard or limited/event banner, check who’s on rate-up, then choose 1x or 10x pulls. Banners have separate pity counters, so focusing one track is the safest path to a mythic/legendary.

Pity and odds: The in-game pity caps sit at roughly 50 pulls for a Legendary and 400 for a Mythic on their respective banners. There’s also a small shiny chance, and Secrets appear on very high pull counts. Treat these as long-term goals while you stabilize your team.
Evolving: Use the Evolve area in the main lobby to upgrade units once you have the required materials and enemy kill counts. Elemental stones drop from Challenge stages—plan runs around what your core needs.

Rerolls: Traits and stat grades are rerolled in the Evolve area and can drastically change DPS, SPA, and range. Curses are handled at the Sukuna NPC; they’re powerful but double‑edged, so avoid rolls that tank your key stat lines.
Event and banner notes
- Chonin and Ant King have appeared on limited event banners; check rotations if you’re targeting them.
- Battle Pass units Slime and Hie are free paths to mythics and worth grabbing for early ground DPS.
If you want the short version: anchor ground with Sun Woo or Lao, slot Goko on hill, pick one of Brulo/Shadow/Igrith for hybrid, and never leave home without Speedcart and AI. Layer stuns or freezes based on your hybrid choice, and evolve your mythics as soon as materials allow. That core will carry Story, Challenges, and Infinite while you hunt for secrets on the banner.
