Anno 117 Ubisoft Connect rewards and how to unlock them

Ubisoft Connect wraps Anno 117: Pax Romana in a second layer of progression: cosmetics, portraits, ornaments, and a handful of themed freebies you unlock outside the usual Denarii and Fame grind. The catch is that Ubisoft’s own reward currency, Units, does not currently come from playing Anno 117 itself.

All Ubisoft Connect rewards for Anno 117

Ubisoft Connect offers seven Anno 117–branded rewards. Three are free; four cost Units (the cross-game Ubisoft currency):

Reward Type Rarity Unit cost
Time's Spiral Sigil Governor sigil Common 0 Units (free)
Pax Romana Fanki Fan kit / cosmetic bundle Common 0 Units (free)
Anno 1800 Sea Snake Crossover cosmetic Common 0 Units (free)
Solar Mosaic Ornament / building cosmetic Rare 30 Units
Harmonia Statue / ornament Rare 30 Units
Numa's Family: Gold Skin Skin Epic 60 Units
Emperor Lucius High-end cosmetic (legendary) Legendary 100 Units

These rewards sit in Ubisoft Connect’s reward catalog for Anno 117. The three common items can be claimed instantly. The rest require you to spend Units you’ve already earned on your Ubisoft account.

How Ubisoft Units work with Anno 117

Ubisoft Connect Units are a global currency for your Ubisoft account. They are not the same as Anno 117’s in-game currencies:

System Earned by Used for
Ubisoft Units Leveling your Ubisoft account and qualifying actions in Ubisoft games, plus purchases in the Ubisoft Store Rewards in Ubisoft Connect (including Anno 117 cosmetics)
Denarii (Anno 117) Quests, income, selling goods Buildings, ships, trade, items
Fame (Anno 117) Completing Accolades Unlocks in the Hall of Fame (gods, discoveries, ornaments, skins, portraits, sigils, specialists, soundtracks)

Anno 117 plugs into Ubisoft Connect with achievements and stats, but at launch it does not provide Ubisoft Units through game-specific challenges. The 50 Anno 117 achievements you see in Ubisoft Connect are tied to Hall of Fame Fame gains and standard platform trophies, not to Units.

That means two things:

  • Playing Anno 117 currently does not increase your Unit balance directly.
  • You still can spend existing Units on Anno 117 rewards if you’ve earned them in other Ubisoft titles or via Ubisoft account purchases.

Where to claim Anno 117 rewards in Ubisoft Connect (PC)

On PC, Ubisoft Connect treats Anno 117 like any other supported game. To unlock rewards with Units you already have:

  • Install and open Ubisoft Connect for PC and sign in to the Ubisoft account you use for Anno 117.
  • Go to the Library tab.
  • Select Anno 117: Pax Romana from the list of games.
  • Scroll down to the Rewards section and choose View all.
  • Pick any Anno 117 reward you want and select Get it to redeem it using Units (or for free, for the three common items).

Once you confirm, the cosmetic unlocks on your Ubisoft account and becomes available the next time you start the game.

Note: If the Rewards panel simply isn’t there on the Anno 117 game page, Ubisoft Connect rewards are not active for that installation or account. When rewards are supported, the section appears by default.

How to redeem Anno 117 rewards on PlayStation, Xbox, and other platforms

If you’re playing on console or a streaming platform, you can skip the PC client entirely. The Ubisoft Connect overlay built into Anno 117 exposes the same reward catalog.

  • Launch Anno 117 on your platform.
  • From the main menu, open Ubisoft Connect (usually a button prompt on the bottom of the screen).
  • Go to the Rewards tab.
  • Highlight the reward you want and select Get it.

Rewards claimed this way are also tied to your Ubisoft account, not to the console account alone. If you later play on another platform with the same Ubisoft account linked, those rewards carry over automatically.

Tip: If the Ubisoft Connect menu opens but you do not see a Rewards tab, that session is not showing reward support. Make sure your Ubisoft account is properly linked to that console profile in the account settings on Ubisoft’s site.

How to earn more Ubisoft Units to spend on Anno 117

Because Anno 117 does not currently hand out Units through challenges, you have to grow your Ubisoft Unit balance elsewhere and then bring those Units back to Anno 117’s reward page.

There are three main ways to accumulate Units on a Ubisoft account:

Method What you actually do Impact on Units
Account XP and achievements Complete achievements and in-game objectives in supported Ubisoft titles Levels up your Ubisoft account, which periodically grants Units
In-game challenges (where present) Complete Ubisoft Connect challenges in games that still support them Some challenges directly award Units, others XP that leads to Units
Purchases in the Ubisoft ecosystem Buy games or certain items through Ubisoft’s store or launcher Purchases can reward Units on your account as a loyalty bonus

Once those Units are in your balance, you can spend them on any active reward catalog, including Anno 117’s Solar Mosaic, Harmonia, Numa’s Family gold skin, and Emperor Lucius cosmetic.

Note: The Hall of Fame Accolades you chase inside Anno 117 pay out Fame only. They drive the internal Hall of Fame unlock tree — gods, discoveries, ornaments, portraits, sigils, skins, specialists, and extra soundtracks — but they do not generate Ubisoft Units.

Where Anno 117’s unlocks actually show up in-game

Once a Ubisoft Connect reward is claimed, it behaves like any other unlock for Anno 117. The game spreads cosmetics and bonuses across several different menus, and it’s easy to lose track of what landed where.

Content type Where to find it in Anno 117
Governor portraits, colours, sigils (e.g., Time's Spiral) Governor menu from your profile/governor UI
Building cosmetics, ship cosmetics Cosmetic tool interface in the building/ship customization menu
Ornaments (e.g., Harmonia statue, Solar Mosaic) Building menu → Special category
Gods Sanctuary in Latium (Plebeians building) or Fanum in Albion (Smiths building)
Discoveries Research menu, once enough Knowledge is generated
Specialists Governor Villa and Officium buildings
Soundtracks Automatically integrated into the game’s music rotation

Cosmetics unlocked via Ubisoft Connect follow the same placement. For example, a reward that is described as a portrait or sigil will live inside the Governor menu; an ornament appears under the Special tab when placing buildings.

Note: Some content can be disabled by the host in co-op or multiplayer sessions. If you can see a cosmetic in single-player but not in a shared game, it may be turned off at the session level.

How Fame, Accolades, and a future challenge system might intersect

Anno 117’s Hall of Fame is built entirely around Fame. You earn Fame by completing Accolades — long-term objectives tied to both Albion and Latium — and then spend that Fame on a progression web of cosmetics and mechanical bonuses. Ubisoft Connect, on the other hand, tracks achievements and statistics for the same activity on your Ubisoft account.

The Ubisoft Connect challenges panel for Anno 117 is expected to tie into those Accolades in the future, effectively mirroring some of your in-game milestones into account XP or challenge completions. For now, though, the Ubisoft overlay for Anno 117 does not list challenge tasks that reward Units, so all of your Unit grinding happens in other Ubisoft games.

If that changes later, the challenges panel inside Ubisoft Connect for Anno 117 will become the place to look for which in-game goals feed back into Units.

Right now, the path to Anno 117’s Ubisoft Connect cosmetics is straightforward but slightly sideways: grab the three freebies, earn Units by playing or buying other Ubisoft titles, then return to Anno 117’s reward catalog to claim the rare and legendary items. Once unlocked, they behave like any other piece of content in the city builder’s dense network of cosmetics and Hall of Fame rewards.
