ARC Raiders' "An Android Love Story" Quest — What We Know So Far

ARC Raiders players recently noticed a new entry in their quest logs called "An Android Love Story," accompanied by a previously unseen cosmetic reward: the White Indigo Warden outfit. The catch? No one has been able to start the quest. It appears in the menu alongside a skin preview, but interacting with it or finding any in-game trigger has so far proven impossible, even for players who have completed every other available quest in the game.

Quick answer: "An Android Love Story" is a newly added quest in ARC Raiders that is visible in the quest menu but not yet playable. It rewards the White Indigo Warden outfit, and the community widely expects it to go live around Valentine's Day 2026 (February 14).

The White Indigo Warden outfit

The skin tied to this quest is a white-and-indigo color variant of the existing Warden outfit. It features a small lizard detail on the leg, which players have called out as a nice cosmetic touch. An orange variant of the Warden outfit already exists in the game, so the new color option gives players who favor that armor set a fresh look without straying from ARC Raiders' lore-grounded aesthetic. Notably, this exact character model has been spotted walking around the bar area in Speranza, the game's underground hub city, suggesting Embark Studios had the asset ready before the quest itself went live.

Why the quest isn't available yet

Players who discovered the listing confirmed they had finished every quest currently in the game, ruling out any prerequisite chain. The quest simply doesn't have a playable trigger at the moment. The most popular theory within the community is that Embark will flip the switch with a patch timed to Valentine's Day on February 14, 2026. The quest's name — "An Android Love Story" — leans heavily into a romantic theme, and a Valentine's event would be a natural fit for ARC Raiders' ongoing cadence of seasonal content drops.

It's also possible the quest will arrive as part of a larger update rather than a standalone holiday event. No official confirmation from Embark Studios has been issued regarding the exact unlock date or conditions.

Androids already play a meaningful role in ARC Raiders' quest structure. The existing "In My Image" questline, given by the android clinic proprietor Lance, tasks players with locating and interacting with three android bodies scattered across the Stella Montis map. These androids are found in fixed positions throughout the facility, but which ones are actually searchable varies between sessions, introducing a degree of randomization.

The Medical Research facility in the southwest portion of Stella Montis' upper layer tends to offer the highest concentration of interactable androids. The Cultural Archives and Seed Vault areas are also reliable spots. Once you interact with three androids, you can extract and return to Lance to complete the quest, earning a Looting Mk. 2 Augment and five green light sticks.

"An Android Love Story" likely continues this thread. Lance is the central NPC for android-related storylines in Speranza, and the quest's placement in the menu suggests it follows the same quest-giver structure. Whether it sends players back to Stella Montis or to a different map remains unknown.

Androids in ARC Raiders' lore

ARC Raiders is set in the year 2180, long after mysterious ARC machines devastated Earth's surface and forced humanity underground into settlements like Speranza. Raiders venture topside to scavenge resources, fight ARC machines, and bring back materials to sustain the underground communities. Androids occupy a strange middle ground in this world — they resemble the Raiders themselves, and their presence in places like Stella Montis has raised in-universe questions about their origin and purpose.

Lance, who runs the android clinic, has been a focal point for players interested in the game's deeper narrative. His quests revolve around investigating android sightings and recovering components from their bodies. The "In My Image" quest explicitly frames the investigation around reports that androids have been spotted looking eerily similar to active Raiders, a thread that "An Android Love Story" seems poised to develop further.

What to do while you wait

Since the quest can't be started yet, there's no preparation required. The White Indigo Warden outfit is locked behind quest completion, so it can't be obtained through any workaround. If the quest does go live on or around February 14, keep an eye on the in-game quest log and check in with Lance at his clinic in Speranza. Given how previous android quests have worked, you'll likely need to head to a surface map, interact with specific objects or NPCs, and extract successfully to turn in the quest.

For now, the appearance of "An Android Love Story" in the menu is a strong signal that Embark Studios has more android-focused narrative content on the way — and a Valentine's Day launch window would make the timing hard to ignore.
