Echoes of Victory Ridge (Dam Battlegrounds)

Echoes of Victory Ridge is a short objective run that opens with a bit of scene-setting: shifting ground has exposed a First Wave hideout at Victory Ridge. Your job is simple—get there fast and secure what’s inside before anyone else.

Travel to Victory Ridge on Dam Battlegrounds and work your way to the collapsed roadway. The target location is underneath the broken highway. Drop below the downed concrete spans and sweep the underpass for the hideout entrance. Once inside, retrieve the battle plans to complete the task.

Note: Elements at Victory Ridge can vary slightly between rounds. If a familiar access point looks blocked or different, keep circling the collapsed highway segments—entrances and points of interest under the structure can shift.

Reward-wise, Echoes is worth the stop: you walk out with crafting materials (Crude Explosives and Processors) and a Music Box trinket that carries high value.

Straight Record (EMP trap shutdown)

Straight Record also centers on Victory Ridge but swaps stealthy retrieval for a quick utility puzzle. You’re tracking an old EMP device and taking it offline by flipping three local power switches before you shut down the trap itself.

Move to Victory Ridge and locate the EMP trap—expect it to be close to your area waypoint. Once you’ve interacted with it, the three switches become the focus. Use the terrain and nearby structures to reach each one:

  • First switch: on top of a small hill near the site. Climb up and interact to disable.
  • Second switch: climb a generator, then continue up onto a set of walls to reach the control.
  • Third switch: drop down from the higher platform and look for a cable emerging from a hole. Follow the wire along the ground; the switch sits next to a broken tree.

Return to the EMP device once all three are off and perform the final shutdown. The payout focuses on weapon upkeep and higher-tier parts: Medium Gun Parts and Advanced Mechanical Components.

Tip: Visibility at Victory Ridge can be hazy because of a nearby harvester. Keep your minimap and lines of sight tight when scanning for the switch climb paths and cable run.

Victory Ridge extras that are worth your time

If you’re still early in your questline and working on Celeste’s A Bad Feeling, keep an eye out for ARC Couriers in the area. One of the common courier spawns sits near the Victory Ridge spawn point. Couriers are the saucer-shaped ARC wrecks that trail black smoke; searching one counts toward that task and can save you a separate trip.

A Bad Feeling grants a useful starter cache upon turn-in: 10 Metal Parts, 5 Steel Springs, and 5 Duct Tape.

What to prioritize at Victory Ridge

  • Route planning: Hit Echoes first if you’re already under the highway; it’s quick and concentrated to one structure.
  • Vertical movement: For Straight Record, plan a clockwise loop from the EMP device to the hill, to the generator climb, then down to the cable run, finishing back at the device.
  • Opportunistic looting: Check for smoking ARC Couriers as you rotate between objectives to progress A Bad Feeling without detouring.

Both quests are compact, share a small footprint, and stack well in a single raid. If the haze rolls in, slow your approach and use the highway’s pillars and slopes as guideposts—everything you need sits within a short walk of that collapsed concrete spine.
