Baron Husks are the hulking, downed ARC machines scattered across ARC Raiders’ maps. They’re worth your time: each one is a breachable cache with multiple ARC-grade materials inside, but they’re also trapped and will punish sloppy looting. Here’s how to spot them, open them safely, and turn a reliable Baron setup into a quick coin run.

Where Baron Husks show up (and when they don’t)

Baron Husks are set pieces embedded into maps like Dam Battlegrounds. They’re not random spawns, so a Baron’s location is consistent between runs. During the “Husk Graveyard” map modifier, you’ll see more husks overall—Wasp Husks, ARC Couriers, and Rocketeer Husks spawn more readily—but it does not add extra Barons at round start.

Not every Baron-shaped wreck is lootable. One of the Barons in the southern forest/scrapyard area of Dam Battlegrounds is environmental and cannot be breached. It’s still worth swinging by because small containers or bags can spawn under the frame and near a leg.

How to breach a Baron Husk safely

  • Approach from the legs and use the frame to climb onto the head/top plate.
  • Start the breach on the plate. As soon as the breach completes, the top will ignite—immediately dodge or step off to avoid burning.
  • Wait for the flames to die out. Then climb back up and loot the open hatch.
  • Expect other squads to hear or see the breach. Post a lookout or rotate quickly after looting.
Tip: The burn is predictable—finish the breach, get clear, and don’t try to power‑loot through the flames.

What Baron Husks drop

Baron Husks are reliable sources of ARC materials with a wider pool of recyclables than standard containers. Items often appear in damaged condition.

  • 4–7 total ARC items per Baron
  • ARC Alloy
  • ARC Powercell
  • Assorted ARC recyclables (varies by ARC, frequently damaged)

Efficient coin farm using a Baron (Dam Battlegrounds)

The most dependable early route is centered on the Old Battleground in Dam Battlegrounds. The area features a Baron Husk in the middle and a cluster of crashed ARC Couriers nearby.

  • Head to Old Battleground and breach the Baron first. Finish the breach, step off during the burn, then loot.
  • Move to the nearby ARC Couriers (usually five to six). Breach each, and be ready to dodge-roll away on completion to avoid random electrical shock.
  • Prioritize high-value drops. Players frequently pull an epic Rocketeer Driver from one or two courier pods; it sells for 15,000 coins.
  • Extract using the nearby exit east of Old Battleground.
  • Back at base, sell epic or unneeded items for coins and recycle the rest into crafting components. This route regularly yields around 15,000–40,000 coins per run, depending on drops and whether you clear all pods.
Tip: If you’re just farming, consider running free loadouts to avoid risking personal gear on a contested hotspot.

Common pitfalls and how to avoid them

  • Lingering on the hatch after a breach: the Baron’s top ignites every time—get off the plate immediately, then return.
  • Confusing decorative Barons with lootable ones: if there’s no breach prompt on top, it’s environmental. Check for small containers under the frame instead.
  • Rushing courier pods: the post-breach shock can down you when you’re low. Trigger, roll clear, then loot.

Baron Husks pay out when handled methodically: climb, breach, clear the burn, loot, and move. Build a loop that links a Baron with nearby courier pods, and the materials—and coins—add up fast without relying on rare spawns.
