The Flickering Threat quest takes place at The Dam and focuses on locating a generator, repairing it with 4 Wires, and restoring power from a switch under a stairwell. The route is short and repeatable, so planning your entry helps you finish in one run.

Flickering Threat quest requirements and rewards

Make room in your inventory for materials before you deploy so you don’t have to backtrack or loot under pressure.

Reach the Dam generator (two routes)

Route A: Drop in via surface holes

Step 1: Travel to Dam Battlegrounds and move toward the North Complex Elevator extract zone. This places you directly above the generator area.

Step 2: Look for open holes in the ground near the complex. These vertical gaps lead down into the facility in front of the generator room.

Step 3: Drop down carefully to land on safe floor sections, then orient toward the nearby generator room entrance.

Route B: Descend from the North Complex Elevator

Step 1: Approach the North Complex Elevator extract and enter the stairwell down into the Power Generation Complex.

Step 2: Follow the stairs to the lower level corridors. Keep to main hallways to avoid looping back to the surface.

Step 3: Continue until you reach the generator room; the large, inoperable unit is hard to miss.

Repair the generator (use 4 Wires)

Step 1: Stand at the generator’s repair panel and initiate the fix. The interaction will prompt the material requirement.

Step 2: Insert 4x Wire to complete the repair. If you arrived without Wires, sweep the immediate rooms and corridors for lootable containers, then return to the panel.

Step 3: Confirm the generator is restored. Turn away from the generator and locate the door on the opposite side of the room for the next objective.

Find the ventilation shaft and enable power under the stairs

Step 1: Open the door opposite the generator and climb the first flight of stairs. This path progresses the “find the ventilation shaft” objective as you move through the service hallways.

Step 2: Open the next door at the top and take the first left. This corridor leads toward the main stairwell area.

Step 3: Walk straight ahead until you reach a staircase. Look beneath the stairs for a wall-mounted power switch panel.

Step 4: Flip the power switch under the stairs to restore power and complete the quest.
