ARC Raiders G-suit unlock and availability explained

The G-suit in ARC Raiders is one of the most talked‑about outfits because of how strong it is for night raids and how rare it currently is. It is a sleek, almost all‑black legendary outfit that makes raiders much harder to spot, especially in dark environments.

How the G-suit was originally obtained

The G-suit is part of the Astro Cosmetic Pack, which was a Deluxe Edition pre‑order bonus for ARC Raiders.

Players who both bought the Deluxe Edition and pre‑ordered it before launch received:

Bundle Requirement Cosmetics included
Astro Cosmetic Pack Deluxe Edition pre‑order only. “G-suit” legendary outfit, Salvager backpack, Spaceship Souvenir backpack attachment.
The Wanderer Cosmetic Pack Deluxe Edition (not tied to pre‑order timing). “Valente” outfit, “Pathfinder” backpack, “Blanket Roll” attachment, Lip Scar face style, Finger Gun: Rapid Fire emote, Scrappy cowboy cosmetics, 2400 Raider Tokens.

Standard Edition pre‑orders did not include the G-suit. They received other bonuses such as the Lucky Duck and Bruser bundles, but the G-suit itself was locked to Deluxe pre‑orders only.

How to check whether you already own the G-suit

Some players discover much later that they actually had Deluxe content claimed automatically. It is worth double‑checking before assuming the outfit is missing forever.

Step 1: Start ARC Raiders and finish the short tutorial sequence until you reach the base and full menus.

This unlocks the main interface where cosmetic options and bonuses are visible. You cannot reliably see all cosmetics during the very first launch flow.

Step 2: From the main hub, open the top menu and choose the Raider tab.

The Raider tab is where character‑specific options live. It separates your raider’s look from account‑wide systems like quests or traders.

Step 3: At the bottom of the Raider screen, select Customization.

This opens the full cosmetic browser. It is also where other pre‑order and Deluxe items, such as backpacks, emotes, and Scrappy skins, can be equipped.

Step 4: In Customization, switch to the Style section, then open Outfits.

Style groups all wearable visual items. The G-suit, if owned, appears in the Outfits list alongside other sets like Origin, Valente, Cosmo, and so on.

Step 5: Look for an outfit labeled G-suit or clearly matching the legendary black Astro space suit.

The G-suit shows as a legendary‑tier space suit under the Astro theming, with its own color variants and toggles for things like headgear and oxygen tank. If it appears here, you already have it and can equip it immediately.

How to equip the G-suit (if your account owns it)

Once you confirm that the G-suit is in your collection, equipping it only takes a few clicks.

Step 1: Stay in the Customization → Style → Outfits menu with your raider visible.

This keeps your character preview on screen so you can see changes in real time while cycling options.

Step 2: Highlight the G-suit entry and select it to apply the base look.

Your character model should immediately switch to the legendary space suit. This does not affect gameplay stats; it is visual only, but it does change how visible you are to other players.

Step 3: Adjust G-suit visual options such as headgear, oxygen tank, and vest.

The G-suit supports toggles similar to other premium outfits: you can turn full headgear on or off, swap caps and visors, and add or remove the oxygen tank and vest. Experiment until you get a silhouette that works for the maps and lighting you prefer.

Step 4: Back out to save and use this outfit in raids.

Once set, the G-suit becomes your active look for future sessions unless you manually switch to another outfit.

Can you still get the G-suit if you missed the Deluxe pre‑order?

The key limitation is timing: the G-suit was tied to buying the Deluxe Edition before launch. Buying Deluxe after release or upgrading from Standard to Deluxe now does not grant the G-suit bundle.

At the moment:

  • The G-suit is not listed in the in‑game store for Raider Tokens.
  • The G-suit is not part of the Raider deck progression or any quest rewards.
  • Upgrading a Standard Edition to Deluxe after launch unlocks the Deluxe‑only Wanderer cosmetics and Raider Tokens, but not the G-suit Astro pack.

There has been community discussion about possible future returns or recolors of the outfit, including mentions of a lighter gray version being considered to reduce how hard it is to see at night. However, there is no in‑game method right now to newly obtain the original black G-suit on an account that did not pre‑order Deluxe.

What to do now if you want a similar look

Even without the G-suit, ARC Raiders has other dark or space‑themed outfits that can give a comparable silhouette for night raids or low‑profile play.

Use store outfits with dark variants

Several store sets provide deep gray or black color schemes and compact shapes that do not stand out much:

  • Cosmo – A sleek space suit with darker palettes and minimal bulk if you toggle off extra gear.
  • Luna – Classic astronaut style with multiple colorways, including less saturated options.
  • Drift coat and Hawker – Coats and jackets in darker color variants that blend better into shadows.

These sets rotate through the store, and prices are paid in Raider Tokens, the premium currency. Raider Tokens are purchased for real money, but small amounts can also be earned through Raider deck progression.

Progression outfits and Raider deck options

If you prefer to avoid spending money, progression and deck outfits can still give you a more tactical look.

  • Rider and Voyager – Raider deck outfits with solid, darker options and a more technical feel.
  • Forza – Level‑based reward outfit with a high‑level, shiny variant, plus earlier versions that are more muted.
  • Radio Renegade and similar quest rewards – Quest‑tied outfits that lean into scavenger or pilot aesthetics, with darker color variants available.

By turning off bright attachments and choosing the most subdued color schemes on these outfits, you can approximate the functional benefit of a low‑visibility G-suit, even if the exact legendary skin is unavailable.

Why the G-suit is treated as an exclusive cosmetic

The G-suit was explicitly used to reward early Deluxe Edition purchases. Keeping it exclusive strongly signals that pre‑order cosmetics actually remain limited and are not quietly sold later.

Several players who bought Deluxe specifically for this skin have expressed that reselling the identical pack after launch would feel like a bait‑and‑switch. That is why current expectations point toward either:

  • Leaving the original black G-suit as a true pre‑order‑only cosmetic.
  • Possibly offering a visually similar but clearly distinct recolor or variant in the future store or events, rather than the exact original.

For now, anyone who did not pre‑order Deluxe should treat the original G-suit as out of reach and instead focus on alternative outfits and future cosmetic drops.

Right now, the G-suit is effectively a legacy Deluxe pre‑order reward, so the best move is to verify whether your account quietly owns it and, if not, build a similar low‑profile look from current store and progression outfits while watching for any officially announced variants later on.
