Arc Raiders: How To Reach The Spaceport Departure Exam Rooms

In Arc Raiders, two different quests can send you hunting for the same area in Spaceport: Lance’s Medical Merchandise task and the Prescriptions Of The Past quest. Both hinge on a location that’s easy to overlook in an enormous structure: the medical exam rooms inside the Spaceport Departure Building.

The building is packed with loot and enemies, so wandering around blindly is a good way to burn a raid. A few fixed landmarks inside the terminal make the path much easier once you know what to look for.

Quests that use the Spaceport medical exam room

Quest Objective involving Spaceport What you must do inside the exam room Notes
Medical Merchandise (Lance) Visit Spaceport and reach the Departure Building exam rooms Search containers in the exam room (two containers are enough) Also sends you to Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City
Prescriptions Of The Past Visit the Departure Building in Spaceport Find the Medical Exam Room and search for the records Objective must be completed in a single round

Both quests are satisfied by reaching the same part of the terminal: a short stretch of hallway on the first floor that opens into two small treatment spaces marked as medical exam rooms.

How to find the Departure Building on Spaceport

The Departure Building dominates the Spaceport map. It is the huge terminal structure linked to the launch towers. On your map, it sits adjacent to the launch infrastructure; in the world, it looks like a large, enclosed passenger terminal with multiple access points and high loot density.

There are several ways in, but players consistently use two patterns:

Approach How to recognize it Why use it
Main northeast entrance Broad opening with a broken, two-part staircase immediately inside Fast route to the exam rooms; matches in-game “medical exam” signage
Roof/upper access Ladder and lift on the side closest to the launch towers Lets you drop in from above and bypass some ground-level fights

For both quests, the simplest repeatable path is from the main entrance on the northeast side of the building. The roof route is handy if the front doors are a warzone, but it just deposits you near the same first-floor corridor you reach with the stairs.

Route from the main entrance to the exam rooms

Once you are inside the Departure Building from the main entrance, you can reach the exam rooms in less than a minute if you stay on track. The internal layout is consistent:

  • You enter into a wide area with a broken staircase that rises in two stages.
  • The first floor is a ring of corridors around the atrium.
  • The medical wing branches off from this ring.

Follow this path:

  1. Walk straight in from the main entrance until you reach the staircase.
  2. Climb the stairs up to the first floor.
  3. At the top, turn around so you are facing back toward the direction you came from and move into the hallway behind the stairs.
  4. Continue straight down this corridor, then take the next right turn into another hallway.
  5. Move forward until the architecture shifts into a darker, covered stretch of corridor with a ceiling overhead.
  6. At this point, look for an open room directly ahead of you off the hallway.
  7. Enter that open room, then go through the doorway on the left into a smaller room.

That smaller room is the medical exam room: the key destination for both Medical Merchandise and Prescriptions Of The Past.

How to recognize the exam rooms once you are close

Several interior details confirm that you have walked into the correct area:

Visual cue What it looks like Why it matters
Medical signage Signs or wall markings that reference medical exams or treatment Marks the entire section of corridor as a medical wing
Neighboring hospital room A room next door with more typical hospital beds and equipment The exam room sits directly beside this hospital-style space
Experiment benches Long bench or table in the center with white chemical bottles This centerpiece is the clearest indicator you are in the right room
Medical icons near entrance Signs using green and red crosses above or near the doorway Useful when you are scanning doors along the hallway for the correct room

The medical wing contains two small exam rooms. Either room can be used for objectives that simply require you to “search containers in the exam room” for Medical Merchandise. For Prescriptions Of The Past, you are looking specifically for the records on a desk at the back of one of these rooms.

Fulfilling Medical Merchandise inside the exam rooms

Medical Merchandise, offered by Lance, is a multi-map fetch task centered on medical locations. One of its steps sends you to Spaceport and asks you to interact with containers in the Departure Building’s exam rooms.

Once you reach the medical exam area described above:

  1. Pick one of the two exam rooms.
  2. Search any loot containers in that room until you have interacted with two of them.

Only the interaction matters for the quest. The containers do not have to be unopened. Even if another player has already looted them, searching still counts toward the objective as long as you see the search prompt and complete it.

After two containers have been searched in the exam rooms, the Spaceport portion of Medical Merchandise is complete. You can then extract or rotate directly to your next target map, depending on how you want to chain your runs.

Finishing Prescriptions Of The Past in one raid

Prescriptions Of The Past is a separate quest that focuses solely on Spaceport. Its objective list is short but strict:

  • Visit the Departure Building in Spaceport.
  • Find the Medical Exam Room inside the Departure Building.
  • Search for the records.

All three steps must be completed in a single round. There is no requirement to clear the entire building; only the medical area matters. Using the main-entrance route keeps the risk window small.

Inside the exam room, the records sit on a desk toward the back of the room. Approach the desk and interact with the records when the prompt appears. Once the interaction finishes, the quest step is done, and the reward package for Prescriptions Of The Past (including a Heavy Shield, a Tactical Mk.3 healing item, and Adrenaline Shots) is locked in when you successfully extract.

Tip: If you are trying to progress Medical Merchandise and Prescriptions Of The Past at the same time, you can knock out both requirements in the same raid. Reach the medical wing once, search two containers for Medical Merchandise, then grab the records on the back desk for Prescriptions Of The Past before leaving.

Alternate access via roof and lift

If the main entrance is camped or covered by Arc units, entering from above can be safer. The side of the Departure Building facing the launch towers provides two extra tools:

  • A ladder you can use to climb onto the roof.
  • A lift that carries you up into the higher levels of the building.

From the roof, you can drop down through openings to reach the interior without crossing the main lobby. From the lift, you can ride directly up to the same general floor where the exam rooms sit, then navigate toward the medical signage and darker hallway described earlier. The internal path from these upper-access points still converges on the same short row of rooms that includes the hospital room and the two small exam spaces.

This route is useful when you are already near the launch towers or when you want to avoid other players pushing through the obvious front door.

Once you internalize a single clean path from the Spaceport spawn area to the Departure Building’s medical wing, both Medical Merchandise and Prescriptions Of The Past stop being map-wide scavenger hunts and become quick diversions. The exam rooms never move, the signage and bench layout always give them away, and even previously looted containers still count for search-based objectives. From there, the only real challenge is surviving long enough in the terminal to walk back out with your rewards.
