Industrial Batteries sit in an awkward spot in Arc Raiders: rare enough to be frustrating, but mandatory if you want to push your Gear Bench to level 3. You need three of them for the final Gear Bench upgrade, and they compete with every other raider on the map hunting the same shelves and lockers.
They are classified as rare Industrial loot, weigh 2 units, stack up to three per slot, and can be recycled into Chemicals and regular Batteries. Most players, though, will first encounter them as a bottleneck for upgrading Gear Bench 2 → 3 alongside Advanced Electrical Components and Bastion Cells.

Best Industrial Battery farming locations
Industrial Batteries can appear across multiple maps, but several points of interest stand out because of how densely they pack Industrial loot containers and metal shelving. The locations below are consistently reported as the most productive:
| Map | Point of interest | Why it’s good for Industrial Batteries |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | Hydroponic Dome Complex | Multiple domes filled with metal shelves, lockers, and breachable metal containers; frequent Industrial Battery spawns as loose loot and in containers. |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Power Generation Complex | Close to Hydroponic; good extension to a dome run with additional Industrial containers and shelving. |
| Dam Battlegrounds | Water Treatment Control / Water Treatment buildings | Industrial-marked site; less consistent for Industrial Batteries but can hold them on tables and shelving. |
| Dam Battlegrounds (adjacent) | Lawn Dome | Standalone dome near Hydroponic; known to spawn Industrial Batteries on desks and shelves. |
| The Blue Gate | Warehouse | Industrial-only zone with many shelves and lockers; solid alternative route. |
| The Blue Gate | Underground area by the Outer Gates | Lockers in the side underground section can spawn Industrial Batteries, though rarely. |
| Spaceport | Rocket Assembly | Industrial loot concentration; capable of spawning Industrial Batteries but less reliable than Hydroponic. |
The Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds is widely treated as the primary farm. Players routinely walk out of a handful of runs with the full three Industrial Batteries needed to finish the Gear Bench upgrade.
Dam Battlegrounds: Hydroponic Dome Complex route
The Hydroponic Dome Complex is located on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds and is broken into several domed buildings. Each dome is effectively a small Industrial loot warehouse full of metal structures and containers.
Inside the domes, focus on:
- Metal shelves and rolling racks, where Industrial Batteries often appear as loose items.
- Lockers, including red lockers; these can hold Batteries as container loot.
- Breachable metal boxes (“breach boxes”) scattered through the larger domes.
The largest dome in the complex is particularly valuable. It usually contains several breach boxes, weapon racks, and dense shelving, and is the place where players most often find repeat Industrial Battery spawns on the same shelves across multiple raids.
A practical loop that many players follow:
- Land or rotate into the Hydroponic Dome Complex as early as possible in the raid.
- Clear the largest dome first, checking every shelf and breachable container.
- Move through each smaller dome in turn, again prioritizing shelves and lockers.
- Once the domes are cleared, rotate to the Power Generation Complex for more Industrial containers.
Dam Battlegrounds: Power Generation and Water Treatment
Power Generation Complex sits close enough to Hydroponic that it naturally extends the same run. It is marked as an Industrial location and contains the usual mix of metal containers, industrial equipment, and shelving, all of which can roll Industrial Batteries in their loot tables.
Water Treatment Control and other water treatment buildings on Dam Battlegrounds can also produce Industrial Batteries, often on random tables inside the buildings. However, results here tend to be inconsistent compared to Hydroponic. It’s worth checking if your route passes through, but relying on Water Treatment alone often leads to long dry streaks.
Some players also detour to the standalone Lawn Dome near Hydroponic. Despite not being part of the Hydroponic Dome Complex, the Lawn Dome shares similar loot behavior, with Industrial Batteries found on shelves and desks at the edge of the structure and inside the dome itself.
Blue Gate: Warehouse and underground lockers
If you need a change of scenery or the Dam Battlegrounds is heavily contested, The Blue Gate offers two relevant spots.
The Warehouse is the main draw: an Industrial-only zone packed with shelving and Industrial containers. Its concentrated loot pool makes it one of the better non-Dam options for hunting Industrial Batteries. Walk the aisles carefully and clear every row of shelves; these surfaces can spawn Batteries in the open, not only inside containers.
The underground area near the Outer Gates can also hide Industrial Batteries. From the Outer Gates entrance, head to the right into the separate underground section. Lockers in this area have been known to spawn Industrial Batteries, although usually one at a time and not on every raid. Think of this more as a bonus check if your route already passes through the tunnels.
Spaceport: Rocket Assembly and related spots
On the Spaceport map, Rocket Assembly is the primary Industrial-themed location worth checking for Industrial Batteries. It offers a mix of industrial machinery, shelves, and breachable containers capable of rolling the right loot type.
That said, Rocket Assembly tends to be streaky: some raids yield nothing, others deliver a Battery or two. If you are already running Spaceport for other objectives, adding Rocket Assembly to your route makes sense; treating it as your only farm is less efficient than Dam Battlegrounds or Blue Gate’s Warehouse.
Other Spaceport structures, such as the Launch Towers, are more commonly associated with other rare Industrial items like Cooling Fans, not Industrial Batteries specifically, so they should be considered secondary targets if your only goal is Batteries.
How many runs to expect and why RNG matters
Industrial Batteries are rare, but their drop behavior has a pattern:
- They only appear in Industrial-marked locations.
- They can spawn both as loose loot on surfaces and as container loot.
- The same domes or shelves can produce them across multiple different raids, but not on a fixed schedule.
Experiences range from finding three Batteries in a single clean Hydroponic run to going half a dozen dome raids without seeing one. Expect to commit several raids to focused farming, especially if you’re starting from zero and aiming for all three needed for Gear Bench 3.

Practical tips for securing and keeping Industrial Batteries
Because losing an Industrial Battery to extraction failure or PvP is painful, treating them as high-priority loot is essential once they drop.
- Use Safe Pockets immediately: As soon as you pick up an Industrial Battery, move it into your Safe Pockets if you have room. That guarantees you keep it even if you die.
- Extract early if you are full: If you already hold two or three and your Safe Pockets are full, consider extracting instead of chasing more loot. The effective time saved versus losing them is usually worth it.
- Prioritize shelves and lockers over low-value containers: When short on time, hit the metal shelving, red lockers, and breach boxes first in Hydroponic or Warehouse before opening more generic boxes.
- Farm at night when possible: Night Raid modifiers increase overall loot quality, making rare items like Industrial Batteries more common across the same route.
Once you reach three Industrial Batteries, it becomes a straightforward decision: spend them on the Gear Bench 3 upgrade. Any extras beyond that point are good candidates for recycling if you need Chemicals or standard Batteries, but it’s still worth keeping a small reserve in case future upgrades or trades use them.
Industrial Batteries will probably never feel common, but focusing on the right Industrial locations—especially the Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds and the Warehouse in The Blue Gate—turns the hunt from a vague grind into a short, repeatable route. Plan a handful of Night Raids through those hotspots, clear every shelf and locker, and keep a Safe Pocket free; that’s usually enough to carry a Gear Bench from level 2 to level 3 without stalling your progression.
