ARC Raiders' Infinite Grenade Dupe Is Wrecking Matches Right Now

ARC Raiders is dealing with one of its most disruptive exploits yet. A duplication glitch affecting throwable items — grenades, ziplines, and even rubber ducks — has rapidly spread across the player base, turning PvP raids into grenade-spamming chaos. The bug allows players to throw an effectively unlimited number of items without their inventory depleting, and it has become widespread enough to make certain missions feel unplayable.

Quick answer: The infinite grenade glitch is an active item duplication exploit in ARC Raiders that works on all stackable quick-use throwables, including Trigger Grenades, Smoke Grenades, Blaze Grenades, ziplines, and ducks. No official hotfix has been confirmed yet, and Embark Studios has been issuing bans to players caught abusing it.

How the infinite throwable dupe works in ARC Raiders

The exploit targets ARC Raiders' inventory system for stackable quick-use items. When performed, it prevents throwable items from being consumed on use, meaning a player can rapidly throw dozens — or even hundreds — of grenades, smokes, or other throwables without ever running out. Players have reported encountering opponents who throw Trigger Grenades in rapid succession, far exceeding any legitimate carry capacity.

The underlying bug appears to have existed in some form for weeks. It was first noticed during the Snowball Tryouts event in early January 2026, when players discovered they could generate infinite snowballs while throwing them at a Bastion. One player reported throwing over 150 snowballs despite only having 19 free inventory slots, and the items simply stopped disappearing from inventory. At the time, community members flagged the concern that the same bug could apply to real grenades in PvP — a fear that has now been fully realized.

The dupe is not limited to grenades. It works on any stackable quick-use item, which means ziplines and rubber ducks can also be duplicated. Players have reported encountering rooms filled with hundreds of duped ducks and opponents carrying absurd quantities of grenades.

Impact on PvP raids and gameplay

The effect on match quality has been severe. Players describe being hit with 30 or more Trigger Grenades in a single match, with opponents throwing them as fast as the input allows. On maps like Buried City and Stella, encounters with exploiters have become frequent enough that some players report running into them in the majority of their sessions.

A separate but related grenade issue was reported as far back as November 2025, when players encountered a Blaze Grenade trap on a zipline that dealt 999 damage instantly — far exceeding the normal damage-over-time behavior of Blaze Grenades. Multiple players confirmed being instantly killed by this interaction, suggesting the duplication mechanic may also interact with damage stacking in unexpected ways.

The exploit's visibility exploded in early February 2026 after high-profile streamers demonstrated the duplication method to audiences of tens of thousands of viewers. One streamer reportedly showed the technique to over 200,000 viewers, while another spent 20 minutes placing duplicated barriers throughout an entire extraction zone during a live broadcast. This exposure accelerated adoption dramatically, turning what had been a niche bug into a widespread problem within hours.

Embark Studios response and ban enforcement

Embark Studios has not yet released a hotfix for the duplication glitch. However, the developer has been actively issuing bans to players caught exploiting it. Community members on Steam have noted that Embark has been "handing out bans left and right" for duping, and players who abuse the exploit risk missing the current expedition window as a consequence of their suspension.

Players can report exploiters by opening a support ticket through Embark's website. Killing an exploiter in-game and then filing a report is the most direct action available to legitimate players right now.

Note: Using the dupe exploit — even "just to test it" — carries real ban risk. Embark treats item duplication as cheating, and bans have been applied regardless of whether the duplicated items were used aggressively in PvP or simply hoarded.

What to do until a patch arrives

Many players have opted to stop playing until the exploit is fixed, particularly those who run full-kit loadouts where losing gear to an exploiter feels especially punishing. If you choose to keep raiding, sticking to lower-risk loadouts can reduce the sting of dying to a grenade spammer.

There is no confirmed timeline for a hotfix. The community consensus is that the fix needs to come quickly — the exploit is simple enough to execute that its spread is accelerating, and every hour without a patch means more players either encounter it or start using it themselves. For now, reporting exploiters through Embark's support system and avoiding high-traffic PvP zones are the only real countermeasures available.
