It’s part of Celeste’s early questline, slotting between Mixed Signals and Flickering Threat, and it teaches the basics of retrieving a key item under pressure and interacting with world props to complete an objective.

Where to go: Electrical Substation location
Head to the southern edge of the Spaceport. The Electrical Substation sits near the Checkpoint; on most in-game maps it appears just below the “Staff Parking” area as a tight cluster of low buildings and equipment. If you’re scanning the skyline, look for fenced utility yards and transformer housings rather than tall structures.
What to do: quick steps
- Travel to the Spaceport’s southern substation cluster next to the Checkpoint.
- Search for signs of the missing engineer. In the center of the substation you’ll find a dropped bag.
- Loot the bag to obtain the fuse/battery.
- Carry the fuse back to the substation’s fuse box/transformer and install it.
- Enable the power switch on the fuse box to bring the substation online.
Dialog and story context
Celeste frames the task as more than routine maintenance—multiple substations went down, and the engineer sent to fix this site didn’t return. Power Out sets up the next step in her chain by establishing a pattern of targeted disruptions and asking you to verify what happened on-site.
Rewards and progression
Rewards for Power Out can differ by live version or list, but they consistently advance Celeste’s line into Flickering Threat. Expect one of the following sets when you turn it in:

Once the switch is thrown, you’re done. Power Out is deliberately compact—get to the substation, find the bagged fuse, slot it, and flip the power—then move on to Flickering Threat in Celeste’s sequence.
