ARC Raiders Power Rod — locations, crafting, and door access
Arc RaidersWhat Power Rods do, where they appear, and how to craft or recycle them.
Power Rods are Epic, high‑value items in ARC Raiders that pull double duty: they open specific “Power Rod” doors and feed into late‑game crafting. They’re limited by stack size but lucrative to sell, and they’re required in at least one quest line that asks you to unlock a Power Rod‑gated room.
Power Rod uses (doors and quests)
- Open locked rooms marked for a Power Rod, including a door near the Loading Bay. Expect one Power Rod to be consumed per door.
 - Feed into shield crafting recipes.
 - Appear in quests such as Tribute to Toledo, where progressing requires opening a Power Rod door.
 - Can be recycled into component materials if you need parts rather than Raider Coins.

Power Rod locations (Exodus and scavenging)
Power Rods are found in the Exodus area and can drop through standard scavenging. In practice, that means searching industrial interiors, lootable containers, and secure rooms you can access mid‑raid. Spawns vary run to run. If a rod doesn’t surface, extract and re‑queue rather than over‑committing time in a single instance.
Players commonly hunt for rods in and around utility complexes and loading bay buildings. Prioritize indoor zones with dense container clusters, then sweep any marked locked doors that explicitly call for a Power Rod.

Using a Power Rod on locked doors
- Look for doors that explicitly call for a Power Rod. These are distinct from keypad or keycard locks.
 - Interact with the panel to spend a rod and unlatch the door. This typically unlocks a compact loot room.
 - Plan your carry weight; a successful open usually rewards multiple items and components worth extracting.

Crafting a Power Rod (materials and station)
You can craft a Power Rod once you have the right components and workshop tier. Live data has shown two closely related recipes for building a single rod, both pairing ARC Circuitry with an electrical component set. The workshop requirement is listed at a higher refiner tier.
| Crafting input | Output | Workshop |
|---|---|---|
| 2× Advanced Electrical Components + 2× ARC Circuitry | 1× Power Rod | Refiner tier 3 |
| 2× Electrical Components + 2× ARC Circuitry | 1× Power Rod | Refiner tier 3 |
If your workbench shows only one of the inputs above, follow the version presented in your live inventory and station UI.

Recycling and sell value (what to do when you’re short on space)
Power Rods can be sold for a strong payout or broken down for parts. Selling yields far more Raider Coins than recycling; recycling is about materials, not profit.
| Action | What you get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sell | 5500 Raider Coins | High coin value for a single slot |
| Recycle | 1× ARC Circuitry + 1× Electrical Components (≈1640 Raider Coins in parts) | Recycling returns significantly less value than selling; do it only if you need the components |

If you’re stuck on a Power Rod quest
Route a raid through the Exodus area, prioritize industrial interiors, and check for any doors explicitly marked for a Power Rod. If nothing drops after a couple of passes, craft a rod using ARC Circuitry and the appropriate electrical component variant at your Refiner tier 3 station, then return to the objective. Bringing a single rod is usually enough to complete a door‑gated step.

Power Rods are best treated as tactical keys with resale upside. Carry them when your route or quest needs one, sell them when you don’t, and recycle only when you’re short on the component parts for your next build.
