ARC Raiders Prickly Pear — stats, locations, and Scrappy upgrades
Arc RaidersWhat it does, where to scavenge it, and how it powers Scrappy's Tier 4.

Prickly Pear is a common Nature consumable. It restores a small amount of stamina quickly, stacks well in your pack, and can be sold or broken down if you’re short on currency or materials.
| Attribute | Value |

| Type | Nature (Common) |
| Effect | Stamina +20 |
| Use time | 1s |
| Stack size | 10 |

It’s a reliable panic button for stamina regeneration and a lightweight pickup you can carry in bulk.

Where Prickly Pear spawns (and how to spot it)
Prickly Pear is found by scavenging in Nature areas and is typically located near cactuses. If you’re sweeping a zone for fruit, prioritize cactus clusters rather than small fruit trees—those tend to hold lemons and apricots instead.
Event cadence matters: during Lush Bloom events, fruit counts are generally higher, which makes restocking faster. Outside those windows, plan for a few extra raids to collect what you need.

Scrappy upgrades that require Prickly Pear
Scrappy—the rooster companion that passively gathers resources between raids—uses tiered upgrades trained from your Workshop. Prickly Pear is part of the Tier 4 requirement set, alongside olives and a home item from populated areas.
| Tier | Level | Requirements | Where to find |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forager Scrappy | 2 | Dog Collar ×1 (Rare) | Residential areas (containers) |
| Scavenger Scrappy | 3 | Lemon ×3, Apricot ×3 (Common) | Nature areas (small fruit trees) |
| Treasure Hunter Scrappy | 4 | Prickly Pear ×6, Olive ×6, Cat Bed ×1 | Nature areas (near cactuses) and Commercial/Residential areas (containers) |
| Master Hoarder Scrappy | 5 | Apricot ×12, Mushroom ×12, Very Comfortable Pillow ×3 | Nature areas (mushrooms grow on tree trunks); Commercial/Residential areas (containers) |
How to train Scrappy (and when rewards arrive)
Training is handled at your Workshop. Select Scrappy, then choose Train to view and fulfill requirements tier by tier. You can’t skip levels.
- Scrappy rolls for finds each time you play a Raid.
- You must actually load into and play a Raid for Scavenge to trigger.
- Scrappy delivers items whether you extract or die, helping offset losses.

Selling, recycling, or crafting with Prickly Pear
Prickly Pear has multiple uses beyond a quick stamina top‑off. The tradeoffs are straightforward if you’re balancing currency, materials, and sustain.
| Action | Outcome | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Consume | Stamina +20 (1s use) | Light and stackable for on‑demand mobility in fights and escapes. |
| Sell | 640 Raider Coins | Best raw currency yield per unit. |
| Recycle | Assorted Seeds ×3 (total 300 value) | Roughly 340 Raider Coins less vs selling; use only if you need seeds now. |
| Craft | Fruit Mix | Combine Lemon ×1 + Apricot ×1 + Prickly Pear ×1. Crafted from your inventory. |
If you’re pursuing Scrappy’s Tier 4, prioritize banking six Prickly Pears before breaking any down. After the upgrade, selling excess often outperforms recycling unless you specifically need seeds.

Quick pickup cues to speed up farming
| Target | Visual cue | Typical area |
|---|---|---|
| Prickly Pear | Cactus clusters, scrubby desert plants | Nature |
| Lemon / Apricot | Small fruit trees | Nature |
| Mushroom | Fungi on tree trunks | Nature |
| Dog Collar / Cat Bed / Very Comfortable Pillow | Containers, interiors | Residential and Commercial |
Rotate Nature sweeps for fruit with brief detours into nearby residential or commercial blocks for container checks. During Lush Bloom windows, commit to longer Nature runs to stockpile fruits for multiple tiers at once.
Prickly Pear pulls triple duty: a fast stamina fix, a component for Fruit Mix, and a gate for Scrappy’s Tier 4. Keep an eye on cacti during your Nature loops, and bank a clean stack of six before you start selling or recycling. Once Scrappy levels up, he’ll start paying you back every Raid—no matter how the run ends.
