ARC Raiders Stella Montis Assembly Admin Key Door Guide

The Stella Montis Assembly Admin key in ARC Raiders unlocks one of the more profitable locked rooms on the map, but both the key drop and the door location are easy to miss. Stella Montis is a single sprawling structure full of similar corridors and repeated signage, so knowing where to search and exactly where to turn saves a lot of wasted raids.

How the Stella Montis Assembly Admin key works

The Assembly Admin key is an uncommon key item that unlocks the Assembly Admin room in Stella Montis. A few important properties shape how you should use it:

Property What it means in practice
Rarity Uncommon – not as frequent as basic residential keys, but drops often enough to farm.
Use count Single-use. The key is consumed (“burned”) when you unlock the door.
Where it works Only on the “Assembly Admin” doors in Stella Montis’ Assembly area.
Map requirement You must load into the Stella Montis map to use it.
Risk If you die while carrying it outside a safe pocket or stash, you lose it to the raid.

Because the key is consumed on use and can be lost on death, it is worth treating it like a high-value weapon part rather than just another lootable.

Where to find the Stella Montis Assembly Admin key

The Assembly Admin key does not have a fixed spawn. It can appear as a random key drop in containers across the game’s maps. However, some areas are noticeably more consistent for key drops than others.

Best locations to farm the key

Location Map Why it’s good for this key
Medical Research Stella Montis On the west side of Stella Montis, with dense loot and a high chance to find the Assembly Admin key in drawers and lockers.
Assembly Workshops Stella Montis Secondary hot spot on the same map; good mix of containers that can roll keys.
Residential zones (all maps) Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Blue Gate, Spaceport Generally strong for random key drops from containers even if not specifically weighted for Assembly Admin.
Ruby Residence Dam Battlegrounds Apartment-style layout with many containers; common place to pull assorted keys, including Stella Montis ones.
Research & Administration Dam Battlegrounds Multi-level office building where keys often appear in upper-floor containers.

On Stella Montis itself, Medical Research and the Assembly Workshops are the most efficient places to farm if you want this specific key. Both areas concentrate lockers, desks, and medical or technical storage, which are prime containers for key drops.

Across the wider game, residential-style areas are still very reliable for keys in general. They may not be biased to Assembly Admin specifically, but they help you build a pool of different keys over time.

How to loot for keys effectively

Key drops on Stella Montis and the other maps heavily favor small containers over large crates. When you are farming for the Assembly Admin key, prioritise:

  • Drawers in desks, side tables, and counters.
  • Lockers along office and facility walls.
  • Compact cabinets in break rooms, labs, and admin offices.

Large weapon crates and open shelving can still roll keys, but the most consistent returns tend to come from drawer-style containers.

Protecting the key before you go to Stella Montis

Once you have the Stella Montis Assembly Admin key, the main risk is losing it to another raid before you ever reach the door. Two simple preparations lower that risk:

  • Equip an augment that grants a safe pocket and place the key there. Items in safe pockets extract with you even if you die.
  • Only bring the key on runs where you intend to reach Assembly quickly instead of doing a wide, long loot route.

Because the key is one-and-done, it is worth building a run around it rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Where the Assembly Admin door is in Stella Montis

Stella Montis is essentially one giant interior map, built like a labyrinth of hallways, stairs, and repeating signage. The Assembly Admin room sits inside the Assembly point of interest, in a corridor that links several major subareas.

Macro location on the Stella Montis map

Reference point Direction to Assembly Admin
Assembly (POI marker) Upper floor, southeast side of the Assembly area.
Lobby Assembly Admin hallway lies to the west of the Lobby.
Loading Bay The hallway with the door is northeast of the Loading Bay.
Assembly Workshops spawn side From Workshops, you move south through Assembly to hit the admin corridor.

The door itself is in a corridor that essentially connects the Lobby, the main Assembly area, and the Loading Bay. It does not sit on a central landmark or a named room, which is why many players walk past it repeatedly without noticing.

Best routes to the Assembly Admin hallway

Because Stella Montis spawns you in different wings, the cleanest route depends on where you load in:

  • From the Loading Bay side: Push north through the Loading Bay until you reach the Assembly area, then continue into the connecting corridor that bends toward the Lobby. The admin door is along this hallway.
  • From the Lobby side: Enter Assembly from the Lobby and move west into the corridor that links back toward the Loading Bay. Stay on the upper floor; the admin door is on this level.
  • From Assembly Workshops / northern Assembly: Head south through the main Assembly floor, staying aware of any ramps and catwalks so you remain on the correct level. Look for the corridor that angles toward the Lobby/Loading Bay link.

Many players find it easiest to first orient on the Loading Bay, which is clearly marked and easy to recognise, and then push north into Assembly and the connecting hallway.

How to recognise the Assembly Admin door

The Assembly Admin door is intentionally understated. It does not have a big overhead neon sign; instead, it has small text on the upper-left part of the door that reads “Assembly Admin”. In the heat of a raid, it looks like a regular locked door.

There are two separate entrance doors into the Assembly Admin room:

Door Relative position Access notes
Lower corridor door In the western tunnel-style corridor that links Assembly and the Lobby/Loading Bay. Accessible via the lower tunnel; highly contested, with frequent player traffic.
Upper railing door On the higher level along a railing at the northern Assembly / western tunnel junction. Reached by climbing nearby ladders or clambering onto the railings; often quieter than the lower corridor.

Only doors labelled “Assembly Admin” accept the key. Other locked doors in the Assembly use different keys or are not tied to this item at all.

Note: Unlocking one of the Assembly Admin doors opens that path for everyone, but the other door remains locked. If you open the lower door, for example, other players cannot simply walk in through the unopened upper entrance without using a key of their own.

Using the key on the door

Once you are in front of an “Assembly Admin” door:

  • Make sure the Stella Montis Assembly Admin key is in your inventory (not in stash).
  • Interact with the door. The key prompt will show that this specific key can be used.
  • Confirm the unlock. The key is consumed, and the door swings open.

If the key is in a safe pocket, it can still be used; the pocket only changes how it behaves on death, not during normal interaction.

What’s inside the Assembly Admin room

The Assembly Admin room is a multi-level office-style space with dense loot placement. The exact items are fully RNG, but the structure of the room is consistent.

Area Loot characteristics
Lower level Desks, filing cabinets, and wall lockers with crafting materials, consumables, and a chance at weapons or mods.
Upper level / mezzanine Additional desks and storage, often mirroring the lower level, effectively doubling the number of searchable spots.

Because the room is behind a key-locked door, the loot table is tuned toward higher-value items compared with open-access offices. Runs can still be disappointing — some players walk out with mostly basic crafting materials — but others pull rare weapons, high-tier materials, or even weapon blueprints. A Venator blueprint is one example of what can drop in this room, showing that high-end rewards are possible.

Note: Loot results are entirely random. Visiting the room does not guarantee a specific item, even if others have found it there before.

Enemies and PvP risk around Assembly Admin

The corridor leading to the Assembly Admin door is not just a quiet admin wing. Several factors make it a hot zone:

  • It connects three major areas (Assembly, Lobby, Loading Bay), so it naturally funnels players.
  • The lower western tunnel entrance sees frequent PvP, as multiple squads cross through that corridor.
  • Hostile ARC units, such as Shredders, can spawn nearby, creating third-party pressure while you are looting.

Plan to clear immediate threats before committing to a long loot sweep inside the room. The sound of opening containers can advertise your presence to nearby squads, especially in the tight Stella Montis hallways.

Handled correctly, the Stella Montis Assembly Admin key turns a single raid into a concentrated shot at high-end loot instead of another aimless sprint through identical corridors. Farm the key where it drops most reliably, protect it in a safe pocket, and head straight for the understated “Assembly Admin” doors in the Assembly corridor linking the Lobby and Loading Bay. Once you learn those angles, the room becomes a regular part of your Stella Montis rotation rather than a one-time curiosity.
