Rewards Advanced Mechanical Components, Medium Gun Parts

“Straight Record” sends you to Victory Ridge to take an improvised ARC EMP trap offline by cutting power at three nearby switches, then returning to shut the device down. Expect reduced visibility in the Ridge thanks to harvester haze; rely on the map marker and compass rather than long sightlines.

Reach Victory Ridge and start the device

  • Head to Victory Ridge on Dam Battlegrounds and follow the quest waypoint.
  • Locate the old EMP trap and interact with it to trigger the power-cut objectives.
Tip: Quest interaction points are highlighted by a distinct yellow glow, making them easier to spot in low-visibility conditions.

Disable the first power switch (hilltop)

  • From the EMP trap, move toward the nearby rise; the first switch sits on a small hill overlooking the site.
  • Climb up and interact with the switch to cut power.

Disable the second power switch (generator and wall climb)

  • Find the adjacent industrial structure with a generator and low walls.
  • Climb the generator, mantle onto the walls above, and look for the switch on the upper ledge.
  • Interact to disable.

Disable the third power switch (follow the wire)

  • Drop down from the elevated area and look for a cable exiting a hole in the ground.
  • Trace the cable along the terrain; it leads past a broken tree on the left.
  • The third switch sits beside that tree. Interact to cut the final feed.

Return to shut down the EMP trap

  • Backtrack to the original EMP device at Victory Ridge.
  • Interact once more to power it down and complete the quest.

Once the trap is offline, claim your reward and clear out. Victory Ridge is a frequent traffic area, so don’t linger.

Co‑op progression and interaction notes

  • Quest interactions use glowing yellow prompts; if visibility is poor, scan for the glow first.
  • Progress is shared across the squad. If a teammate flips a switch or shuts the device down, it counts for everyone on the quest.
  • Quest item turn‑ins aren’t consumed for completion; for Straight Record you’re interacting with world objects, not handing in materials.
