ARC Raiders Tempest blueprint location: where it drops and what to farm

Tempest and Bobcat don’t come from Harvester—target high-value containers, night raids, and Security Breach lockers.

ARC Raiders Tempest blueprint location: where it drops and what to farm

The Tempest blueprint lives in the regular scavenging loot pool. It does not drop from the Harvester map event. Harvester is reserved for the Equalizer and Jupiter energy weapon blueprints. If you’re chasing Tempest (or Bobcat), you need to farm high-value containers and rooms during raids.

Blueprint Drops in Harvester event Better sources to target
Tempest No Weapon cases, Security Breach lockers, raider caches, breach/key/puzzle rooms
Bobcat No Weapon cases, Security Breach lockers, raider caches, breach/key/puzzle rooms
Equalizer Yes Harvester event
Jupiter Yes Harvester event
Note: All blueprints in the scavenging loot pool can also show up as Trial rewards.

Focus on these containers and rooms

Almost any container can roll a blueprint, but some have meaningfully higher odds. Prioritize these:

  • Weapon cases (green gun crates). High chance for weapon blueprints, including the rarer pool items.
  • Security Breach lockers (requires the Security Breach survival skill). These reliably spit out blueprints and epic gear.
  • Raider caches (small blue “ticking” boxes) and buried raider caches during the Uncovered Caches event.
  • Ammo boxes and grenade canisters. Lower than weapon cases, but they do drop blueprints.
  • Blue Gate “black boxes” underground and topside. Strong overall blueprint and augment finds.

Room type matters. Any space that’s gated by effort—breachable doors, keyed rooms (especially purple), puzzle rooms, or tricky parkour entries—carries higher loot quality and better blueprint rates. Treat these as priority sweeps on any route.

Run the right conditions

  • Night raids increase loot quality, which helps blueprint rates across all containers.
  • Key-locked and puzzle rooms stack on top of night raid bonuses; combine both when possible.
  • The Harvester event is great for Equalizer/Jupiter, but it won’t drop Tempest or Bobcat—don’t waste those runs if you’re hunting purple weapon recipes.

Skill up for Security Breach (high-yield lockers)

Security Breach is a late-survival skill that lets you open locked security lockers scattered across all maps. These lockers are among the most consistent blueprint sources in the game and often include epic weapons alongside recipes.

  • Dam Battlegrounds: 9 lockers
  • Buried City: 8 lockers
  • Spaceport: 10 lockers
  • Blue Gate: 5 lockers
Tip: If you’re specifically farming Tempest or Bobcat blueprints, plotting a loop through clusters of security lockers (Spaceport has several close together) is one of the fastest ways to rack up rolls.

Low-traffic spots worth hitting

If you’d rather avoid hot zones and still see strong blueprint chances, there are a handful of underrated, high-value rooms that repeatedly pay out:

  • Dam Battlegrounds: A high-yield weapon case “ledge room” under a derelict bridge that’s normally accessed with a zipline/snap hook but can be reached with a careful ledge grab.
  • Buried City: The small breachable storage room at Morano Station (north side). Regular weapon case spawn and multiple high-quality containers inside.
  • Buried City: The “red tower” small high-value room off the stairs, with additional case spawns on the exterior upper paths.
  • Buried City: Secret rooftop-to-window jump rooms with multiple weapon case spawns and boosted loot quality.
  • Buried City pharmacies (e.g., Plaza Rosa and Piazza areas): Breach to enter; multi-floor high-value residential loot with dense container counts—great for blueprint volume if you can handle the risk.

These spots let you run single-objective raids: sprint in, check one or two premium rooms, pouch any blueprint, and extract.

Trials can award Tempest (and other) blueprints

Trials unlock at level 15 and refresh weekly with five objectives. Your best score from a single successful extraction sets the reward tier, and prizes can include blueprints from the scavenging pool. It’s a steady parallel track for rolling rarer recipes while you farm in raids.

Route discipline and inventory setup

Blueprints placed in your safety pouch survive death. That makes pouch capacity your most important limiter when you’re on a blueprint run.

  • Craft and equip the Looting Mk. 2 augment (Gear Bench 2) to double your pouch capacity. Two safe slots means you extract the moment you pick up a third blueprint you care about.
  • Keep your loadout lean: one reliable weapon, a bit of healing and shield charge, and room to loot.
  • Extract as soon as your pouch is full plus one extra blueprint in inventory—don’t donate your finds to the map.

Quick checklist for Tempest/Bobcat blueprint farming

  • Run night raids to boost loot quality.
  • Prioritize weapon cases, Security Breach lockers, raider caches, and any breach/key/puzzle rooms.
  • Hit low-traffic high-value rooms (Dam ledge room, Morano Station storage, red tower, secret rooftops, pharmacies) for safer rolls.
  • Ignore Harvester for these two; it only drops Equalizer and Jupiter blueprints.
  • Do weekly Trials; blueprint rewards include items from the scavenging pool.
  • Use Looting Mk. 2 for extra pouch slots and extract as soon as you’ve banked what you came for.

Duplicate blueprints aren’t wasted—learn what you need and sell extras for 5,000 coins each, or hand them off to friends.
