Trash Into Treasure is a straightforward scavenging check early in Arc Raiders. The assignment: collect six Wires and one Battery, then extract with them intact and turn the quest in. It follows Clearer Skies and leads into Off The Radar, and it’s a clean introduction to how loot, recycling, and vendors work.

Trash Into Treasure objectives and rewards

Type Details
Objectives Obtain 6 Wires; Obtain 1 Battery
Quest giver Shani (via the Security Terminal)
Rewards Tactical MK.1 Augment; 3× Adrenaline Shot; Binoculars (provided at quest start)

How to start and complete the turn-in

Pick up Trash Into Treasure from Shani at the Security Terminal. Queue into a raid, collect the required items, then extract safely. After extraction, open the Quests tab to claim your rewards.

If you die before extracting, you risk losing what you found. Plan a conservative route to the nearest extraction point once you have all seven items.

Where to find Wires (six total)

Method What to look for Notes
Loot hotspots Power Generation Complex Consistently spawns electrical components.
Combat scavenging Search dead Raiders Clear encounters and loot bodies before moving on.
Environment pickups Wrecked drones, supply caches Check mechanical debris and crates in tech-heavy zones.
Recycling Heat Sinks, Voltage Converters Rare components can break down into Wires.
Vendor Celeste (unlocks at Level 7) Buy Wires directly once the shop is available.

When looting, check item tooltips to see what they recycle into. Prioritizing parts that dismantle into Wires reduces randomness.

Where to find a Battery (one total)

Method What to look for Notes
Loot hotspots Power Generation Complex High chance for Batteries alongside other power items.
Combat scavenging Search dead Raiders Eliminations in tech areas often pay off.
Environment pickups Abandoned tech crates, near energy cores Scan workbenches, server rooms, and control areas.
Recycling Industrial Batteries, Power Banks Break down power items to get a Battery.
Vendor Celeste (unlocks at Level 7) Purchase if your run is unlucky or contested.

Reliable loot route: Research & Admins (near Dam Battlegrounds)

If you want a single building that can deliver both items, head to the Research and Admins location just southeast of the Dam Battlegrounds. It’s a high-value area and often contested, but it concentrates the exact loot you need.

  • Enter via the main door at the bottom of the structure.
  • Look for the yellow zipline behind the front desk and ride it to the upper floor.
  • Expect roaming “fireball” enemies on arrival; they will chase and deal heavy damage if they catch you. Avoid or kite them rather than burning through healing.
  • Loot the small offices first. Many rooms on this level spawn Wires and can roll a Battery. If the first wing is light, cross to the opposite side and clear the larger rooms with tables and chairs.
Tip: Those explosive chasers don’t reliably pursue into some interior rooms. If one loses aggro at a doorway, use the breathing room to search thoroughly before rotating.

Route planning and extraction

Once you’ve collected six Wires and a Battery, reposition toward the nearest extraction point. Don’t overstay for extra loot; the quest doesn’t require more than seven items, and the risk of a wipe outweighs the marginal gains.

  • Heal and reload before committing to a final sprint.
  • Favor cover-rich paths over open ground to minimize third-party engagements.
  • If the closest extraction is camped, rotate to the next safest option rather than forcing it.

Vendor and recycling fallback

If a raid is too hot or spawns are unkind, you don’t have to force the drop:

  • Recycle rare electrical parts to convert them into Wires and Battery components. Heat Sinks and Voltage Converters can produce Wires; Industrial Batteries or Power Banks can produce a Battery.
  • Once you reach Level 7, Celeste’s shop can sell both items. This is the most direct way to finish the quest if you’re sitting on currency and want to move on.

Turn-in and what’s next

Extract with the items, open the Quests tab, and claim your reward bundle: Tactical MK.1 Augment and three Adrenaline Shots, with Binoculars already issued at the quest’s start. The chain continues with Off The Radar, which builds on the same fundamentals—smart routing, selective engagements, and extracting what you came for.
