Wasp Driver is a lootable component in Arc Raiders. The most reliable way to get it is to take down Wasp drones and loot their wreckage; you can also use it for recycling to produce ARC Alloy for crafting.
Get Wasp Driver from Wasps (fastest method)
Wasps are small aerial ARCs that patrol across all battlegrounds. They’re aggressive and easy to identify by the two rotors mounted on their sides.
Step 1: Locate a Wasp. Scan the skies and listen for the buzzing audio cue; visually, look for a compact drone with twin side rotors patrolling above ground level.
Step 2: Disable the Wasp by targeting its rotors. Breaking the two side rotors brings it down quickly and reduces incoming fire during the fight.
Step 3: Secure the immediate area and loot the wreckage. Wasp Driver is a chance-based drop, so expect to down several Wasps before one appears.
Step 4: Move between nearby patrol routes to repeat the process. Farming multiple Wasps in succession is the fastest way to accumulate Wasp Drivers.
Check Dam Battlegrounds Testing Annex container (not guaranteed)
This is a supplemental option if you’re passing through Dam; it’s not a fixed spawn.
Step 1: Head to the Dam Battlegrounds and travel toward the Testing Annex area.
Step 2: Find the small ruin on a nearby hill and look for a locked container within the site.
Step 3: Open the container and check its contents. A Wasp Driver can appear here, but the spawn is not guaranteed.
Step 4: If it’s not present, continue with Wasp farming instead of repeatedly rechecking this spot.
Quest use: Wasps and Hornets (Shani)
The task “Wasps and Hornets” includes objectives to destroy these drones and obtain their drivers for Shani.
Step 1: Engage and destroy a Wasp to progress the objective.
Step 2: Loot a Wasp Driver from a downed Wasp to fulfill the item requirement.
Step 3: Turn in the objective to Shani when prompted to advance the questline.
What Wasp Driver is used for
Wasp Driver is a control module from Wasp drones. You can recycle it into ARC Alloy, which is needed for crafting. Keeping a few on hand helps with both workshop progression and periodic quest turn-ins.
- Recycle for materials, including ARC Alloy needed in various recipes.
- Hold for objectives that explicitly ask for a Wasp Driver.
Focus on hunting Wasps and looting their remains; that’s the quickest route to steady Wasp Drivers. If you’re near Dam’s Testing Annex, check the hilltop container as a bonus roll.
