Servers are online, and matchmaking is working, but not everyone is getting in smoothly. The publisher has acknowledged that some players are running into launch-day issues and is rolling players in waves to manage demand. Expect queues during busy windows and occasional error messages while the rollout stabilizes.

Queue times and capacity

There’s an active queueing system at peak hours. Based on launch behavior:

  • Queue positions of 400,000+ typically translate to roughly 13–15 minutes of waiting.
  • Even positions above 200,000 can clear in just a few minutes when throughput spikes.

If your queue appears stuck, avoid restarting the game during the countdown; doing so usually forfeits your place and can extend the overall wait.

Common launch errors (and quick fixes)

Issue What you’ll see Quick fix Notes
Steam “Play” button missing or unresponsive “Play” doesn’t appear or does nothing at launch time Restart Steam (fully exit the app, then relaunch) A full client restart refreshes entitlements and launch flags.
Game appears “unreleased” on Steam after launch Store page/library shows the title as not yet released Force close Steam via Task Manager, then relaunch Clears stale release metadata; repeat once if needed.
Ownership or DLC purchase prompts Error states you need to purchase the game/DLC Close and reopen your storefront on PC, or restart your console The team is investigating intermittent entitlement checks; a restart generally refreshes licenses.
Servers full “Servers are full” or similar message Stay in the queue Capacity is being throttled during peak load to keep sessions stable.
PC security requirement Launch fails or blocks with a platform requirement notice Enable Secure Boot in your UEFI/BIOS Secure Boot is required to play on PC; check your motherboard manual for the exact setting location.

Campaign vs. multiplayer queues

Single-player and multiplayer run through different clients. If you load into the campaign first and then switch to multiplayer, you’ll re-enter the matchmaking queue. Plan your session accordingly if you want to squad up without an extra wait.

How to tell if it’s you or the servers

  • If you can reach menus and see a queue position, the backend is online and at capacity—waiting is the correct move.
  • If the game shows as “unreleased,” or the “Play” button is missing on PC, restart your storefront (and if needed, your PC). On console, a quick reboot often refreshes entitlements.
  • If you receive messages about needing to purchase the game or DLC but you already own it, refresh your license by restarting your storefront or console. These checks can fail under heavy load.
Note: Status pages can lag slightly during spikes. If your queue advances over time, avoid restarting—your position is improving even if the number looks large.

What to expect next

Queues tend to ease as concurrency spreads out. The team is gradually raising capacity and addressing day-one errors, including sporadic DLC purchase prompts and storefront launch hiccups. If you’re planning a session during regional primetime, expect a short wait and keep your client open once you’re in.
