The first Support assignment in Battlefield 6 asks you to heal teammates for 5,000 health and earn 10,000 score. It unlocks once you hit Rank 20 in multiplayer, and completing it grants the M320A1 Smoke Grenade Launcher. If your progress isn’t moving, or you just want to clear it quickly, here’s how to make every point of healing count.

What actually counts as “heal teammates for 5,000”

Only healing delivered to other players while you are actively playing the Support class counts toward the 5,000 total. Revives don’t contribute to this number, and healing yourself doesn’t count. Make sure you have a Support loadout equipped with a dedicated healing option and that the Support 1 assignment is active after reaching Rank 20.

Tip: If you’re unsure whether your actions are registering, keep an eye on your in-match score feed for healing ticks and check the assignment tracker between lives. If it appears stuck, try re-selecting the Support class in the deploy screen or finishing the match to prompt a refresh.

Fastest way to rack up 5,000 healing

  • Equip a healing gadget in your Support loadout. Keep it placed where teammates are taking damage, not in safe areas where it sits idle.
  • Play objective-heavy modes with long fights and tight spaces. Breakthrough tends to stack friendlies in chokepoints, and contested Conquest flags create steady demand for healing.
  • Anchor near your squad. Follow the push, drop healing where you expect sustained damage (stairwells, doorways, control points), and rotate your placement as the fight shifts.
  • Create safe zones for healing. Use Deployable Cover to give teammates a reason to hold positions where your healing can keep working.
  • Chain healing with revives. While revives don’t add to the 5,000 total, they keep bodies in the fight so your healing can tick continuously.
  • Knock out the 10,000 score requirement in parallel. Capture and defend objectives, revive frequently, and resupply allies to fill the score bar while you heal.
Note: If you notice low healing throughput, relocate your gadget. It only contributes when teammates are nearby and actively taking damage.

Common reasons progress doesn’t tick

  • Assignment isn’t active yet. You need to be Rank 20 and have Support 1 tracking when the healing happens.
  • Wrong type of support item. Ammo and other utility gear won’t heal; make sure you’re using an actual healing option.
  • Self-healing or revives. Neither adds to the 5,000 healing requirement.
  • Wrong class. Healing delivered while playing a different class won’t count for the Support assignment.
  • Match/session quirks. If the tracker seems frozen, swap loadouts, redeploy as Support, or complete the current match and check again.

Support challenges and rewards (at a glance)

Challenge Requirements Reward
Support 1 Heal teammates for 5,000 total; earn 10,000 score M320A1 Smoke Grenade Launcher
Support 2 200 revives as Support; deploy Deployable Cover 25 times Fire Support training path
Support 3 50 smoke assists as Support; resupply 200 teammates Serve and Protect player card icon; Helping Hand character patch

Support Specialist track (what comes after)

Specialist Challenge Requirements Reward
Support Specialist 1 Intercept 100 projectiles with the Grenade Intercept System; earn 40,000 score Goliath Compact Supply Pouch
Support Specialist 2 Resupply 200 teammates with the Supply Pouch Bonds of War player card background; SICH G1 WP Incendiary Airburst Launcher
Support Specialist 3 Deal 2,000 damage with the Incendiary Airburst Launcher as Support; revive 75 teammates in a single match Countershock (NATO) and Copperpulse (Pax Armata) character skins; Battle Angel player card title

For the projectile interceptions, smaller and objective-focused maps help because grenades and explosives get spammed in tight lanes. For the 75-revive requirement, choose modes with longer average match times and clustered fights so you can find enough downed allies.

Loadout notes for Support while you heal

The Combat Medic path is built for this role. You can drag downed allies faster, complete revives more quickly, and your own health regeneration kicks in when you revive. That survivability helps you stand your ground while your healing keeps ticking.

Once you reach Rank 20, equip a Support healing option, and park yourself where your team actually trades damage. Lean on objective modes with sustained fights, use cover to stabilize your lane, and you’ll fill the 5,000 healing bar while clearing the score requirement in the same run. The M320A1 smoke launcher you unlock from Support 1 sets you up for later challenges that ask for smoke assists—so getting this done early pays off across the class.
