Best Laevatain gear and weapon build in Arknights: Endfield

Best Laevatain gear and weapon build in Arknights: Endfield

Laevatain is a 6-Star Heat Striker in Arknights: Endfield who excels at clearing large groups of enemies and dealing massive area-of-effect damage. She scales primarily on Intellect and Strength, and her combat loop relies on absorbing Heat Inflictions from enemies to unleash heavily enhanced skills. Building her correctly requires balancing her raw damage modifiers with enough energy generation to maintain high uptime on her Ultimate.

💡
Quick answer: Laevatain's best endgame gear is a 3-piece Hot Work set paired with the Tide Fall Light Armor off-piece. Her best-in-slot weapon is the Forgeborn Scathe.

Best gear sets for Laevatain

To maximize Laevatain's damage, you need to boost her Intellect attribute and amplify her Heat and Arts damage. Because her enhanced Battle Skill automatically applies Combustion to enemies, she benefits significantly from gear sets that trigger off specific elemental reactions.

Endgame gear: Hot Work

The Hot Work set is the definitive endgame choice for Laevatain. Equipping three pieces of this set grants 30 Arts Intensity and provides a 50 percent Heat DMG bonus for 10 seconds whenever the wearer applies Combustion. Laevatain easily maintains this buff through her combo and battle skills.

For your fourth gear slot, you have two primary options depending on your overall investment level:

  • Tide Fall Light Armor: This is the recommended off-piece for the vast majority of players. It provides a 12.3 percent boost to Ultimate Gain Efficiency. Faster ultimate generation makes Laevatain's rotations much smoother and ensures you spend less time relying on standard basic attacks.
  • LYNX Slab: This off-piece provides a massive percentage-based boost to the wearer's main attribute (Intellect). It is strictly for highly invested, min-maxed characters. You should only swap to the LYNX Slab if you have Laevatain's signature weapon, multiple Potentials, and fully Artificed gear, at which point the raw attack power outweighs the need for extra ultimate efficiency.

Early game gear: Mordvolt Insulation

Before you reach the late-game manufacturing tiers, the Mordvolt Insulation set serves as the best placeholder. This set flatly increases Intellect by 50 and grants a 20 percent Arts DMG bonus as long as Laevatain's HP remains above 80 percent. Equip the Vest, Gloves, and two Battery kits to carry her through early story progression.

Best weapons and essences

As a Striker, Laevatain uses swords. Her weapon selection should prioritize Intellect, Attack percentage, and Basic Attack damage to scale the heavy hits during her Ultimate phase.

Weapon Rarity Key Benefits
Forgeborn Scathe 6-Star Her best-in-slot signature weapon. Grants high Intellect, Attack, and a massive 210% Basic Attack DMG boost for 20 seconds after casting an Ultimate.
Umbral Torch 6-Star The best alternative sword, available via the Protocol Pass. It grants Intellect, Heat DMG, and an attack buff whenever Combustion or Corrosion is applied.
White Night Nova 6-Star A secondary alternative that boosts Arts Intensity and increases Arts DMG dealt after applying Combustion.
Fortmaker 5-Star A solid mid-tier option that grants necessary Intellect and Ultimate Gain Efficiency.

When selecting Essences for your weapon, prioritize Twilight to gain flat Heat DMG and Basic Attack multipliers. Follow this up with Attack Boost and Intellect Boost to scale her raw damage ceiling.

Skill upgrade priority

Laevatain deals the vast majority of her damage while transformed by her Ultimate, making it the most critical part of her kit.

Step 1: Upgrade her Ultimate (Twilight) first. This unlocks new, highly damaging basic attacks and enhances her Battle Skill. Her basic attacks during this phase scale entirely with the Ultimate level. Step 2: Upgrade her Battle Skill (Smouldering Fire) next. When cast with four Melting Flame stacks, this performs an extra hit with the highest single damage multiplier in her kit and generates massive Ultimate Energy. Step 3: Upgrade her Combo Skill (Seethe). This is heavily used to generate Melting Flame stacks and keep rotations tight. Step 4: Upgrade her Basic Attack (Flaming Cinders) last. You will rarely rely on standard basic attack damage outside of her Ultimate window.

Team synergy and rotations

Laevatain cannot function effectively as a solo hypercarry. She relies on the "Scorching Heart" combat talent, which requires her to absorb Heat Inflictions from enemies using a Final Strike or Finisher. Doing so grants her "Melting Flame" stacks. Once she reaches four stacks, she ignores a portion of enemy Heat Resistance, and her Battle Skill receives a massive damage and energy generation upgrade.

Because Laevatain cannot easily apply Heat Inflictions outside of her Ultimate, she requires a dedicated team of enablers:

  • Wulfgard: The premier Heat support for Laevatain. His skills easily provide multiple stacks of Heat Infliction on targets, making it simple for Laevatain to immediately absorb them for Melting Flame stacks.
  • Akekuri: An excellent teamwide SP battery. She provides fast, frequent Heat applications in area-of-effect scenarios, allowing the team to cycle through skills much faster.
  • Ardelia: Provides crucial physical and Arts susceptibility debuffs, alongside consistent Corrosion applications that trigger Laevatain's own combo skills.
