Black Ops 7: How To Unlock The Spectral Achievement/Trophy On Disruption’s Yacht

The Spectral achievement/trophy in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 is tied to the co-op campaign mission “Disruption.” The challenge sounds simple on paper: successfully sneak across the yacht’s deck. In practice, the game expects a full stealth clear of the entire above- and below-deck sequence without being spotted at any point.

If you’re aiming for 100 percent completion or the Platinum trophy on PS4, this is one of the more technical campaign challenges. Here’s how the requirement works, and a reliable route you can follow.

What Spectral Actually Requires In Black Ops 7

Spectral unlocks when you:

Achievement / Trophy Mode Mission Requirement
Spectral Co-op campaign Disruption Successfully sneak across the yacht’s deck without being detected

The in-game text focuses on crossing the deck, but the fail condition applies to the entire playable section on the yacht, including the transition below deck. If any guard fully detects you (raised alert, combat state), the run no longer qualifies, and you’ll need to restart from a checkpoint before the yacht segment.

Key points to keep in mind:

  • You must remain unseen for the whole yacht sequence, not just the initial outdoor deck.
  • Silenced kills and bodies are allowed, as long as they are not seen in a way that triggers an alert.
  • Your invisibility/cloak ability is part of the intended solution and does not invalidate the achievement.

The route that minimizes risk leans on three things the mission already provides:

  • A sniper rifle for long-range, one-shot headshots.
  • Your invisibility/cloak ability to bypass clustered enemies or cover exposed angles.
  • Sticking to the left side of the yacht, where patrols are thinner and less overlapping.

There is no campaign intel or unique collectible on the yacht section itself. You can safely ignore loot and alternate weapons unless you specifically want a self-revive or prefer a particular gun; detours usually increase the chance of being seen.

Step 1: Clear The Left Side Of The Upper Deck

You start on the exterior of the yacht facing a multi-level deck with several guards in view. The safest line is along the left-hand side.

Step Location Action Why It’s Safe
1 Lower left deck near staircase Snipe the stationary guard on the left by the stairs when no one else is looking. Removes the closest, most direct line-of-sight threat on your chosen route.
2 Small staircase up on the left Move up the small staircase, wait for the patrolling guard to turn away, then snipe or melee him from behind. Prevents a walking cone of vision from catching you as you move deeper into the deck.

Once these two are down, keep moving forward along the left. You’ll see a staircase leading further up and, to its side, a glass walkway that runs across part of the deck.

Instead of climbing higher into denser patrols, cut onto that glass walkway on the left:

  • Step onto the glass walkway when no one is looking in your direction.
  • There is a guard posted on this walkway ahead; line up a headshot and take him out cleanly.

Guards on the right side of the yacht tend to group up, and the central open area has several overlapping sightlines. The left glass walkway avoids most of that complexity.

Step 2: Use Cloak To Bypass The Doorway Pair

At the far end of the glass walkway, you’ll reach one of the only high-risk moments: two guards standing close together, chatting near a door that leads inside.

With normal stealth, it’s easy to get caught here. The safer approach is to rely on your invisibility and the sniper rifle’s bullet penetration.

Guard Setup Ability Use Shot Placement
Two guards talking in front of the door at deck level Activate invisibility before stepping fully into the open Aim at the head of the closer guard and wait until the second guard’s head lines up behind; fire one penetrating shot

Because the sniper rounds can pass through the first target, a single well-timed headshot can silently drop both guards at once. This removes the pair without giving either a chance to react or shout.

With them down, move to the door they were guarding. This is your entry point to the interior, where you’ll immediately transition toward the lower decks.

Step 3: Drop Below Deck And Control The Hallway

Right after entering through the door, look to your right for a hatch leading down. This is the route the game expects you to take; it keeps you away from heavier patrols topside.

  • Open the hatch and drop into the narrow hallway below.
  • At the far end of this hallway, a guard will eventually walk to the left along his route.

Wait just out of sight until he turns left and starts walking away. As soon as his back is fully turned:

  • Move up to the door he was standing near.
  • Slip through and eliminate him quietly from behind or with a quick headshot while his back is turned.

This takes you into an engine room, which looks dangerous at first glance but is actually one of the easier spaces to cross.

Step 4: Move Through The Engine Room Without Over-Clearing

Inside the engine room, you’ll see a couple of guards focused on their work with their backs turned. They do not need to die for Spectral to trigger.

Area Enemies Recommended Action
Engine room floor Two guards, both facing away from the path you need to take Leave them alive, walk behind them, stay out of their peripheral vision

Bypassing them keeps things simple. As long as you stay behind their shoulders and don’t bump into them, they won’t react.

From here, you’ll approach another hallway. The next real threat is not obvious until you edge out.

Step 5: Deal With The Hidden Hallway Guard

Past the engine room, your instinct may be to turn left down the next corridor immediately. That’s a mistake. A guard is posted around that corner with direct line of sight on the entrance.

To stay safe:

  • Stop at the corner and do not fully step into the hallway.
  • Wait for your invisibility to recharge if it isn’t ready.
  • Once invisibility is available, activate it, then lean out or step out just enough to line up a headshot.

While cloaked, drop the hallway guard with a quick, clean shot. This eliminates the last static enemy that can catch you by surprise in this section.

If you’re confident in your aim, you can attempt a very quick peek-and-shoot without cloak, but that leaves far less room for error. The cloak-first approach is much more forgiving.

Step 6: Clear The Final Pair And Exit To The Cutscene

Only two enemies remain between you and the Spectral unlock: one patrolling the hallway ahead and one idling in a conference room.

Enemy Position Safe Takedown
Hallway guard Walking a short route with his back turned for part of the cycle Wait for him to turn away, then close distance and perform a stealth takedown
Conference room guard Standing in the corner of the adjacent room After the hallway is clear, line up a shot from the doorway and snipe him while he is stationary

Handle the hallway guard first. A melee stealth takedown keeps noise low and removes any risk of a missed shot in tight quarters. With the corridor safe, shift your focus to the conference room. The last guard there has limited awareness and is easy to headshot.

Once both are down, continue forward to the next door. Interacting with it will trigger a cutscene. If you have remained undetected throughout the yacht section, the Spectral achievement or trophy will pop shortly after the transition.

Clearing Spectral is less about speed and more about respecting sightlines. Take a measured pace, lean on the left-hand path, use cloak for the clustered or hidden guards, and avoid unnecessary engagements. With that approach, this campaign challenge becomes a controlled stealth puzzle rather than a trial-and-error grind.
