The Book of Ghost is an exploration quest tied to the Nine Mortal Ways Base event in Where Winds Meet. It functions as a progression system where you accumulate Fun Points by completing rotating weekly activities, then spend those points to unlock rewards spread across 20 levels. The quest remains active for the duration of the event.
Quick answer: Complete the Anti-Fraud Manual and Seven-Day Promise quests each week to earn Fun Points, which unlock progression levels and rewards, including a Treasure Tablet cosmetic at level 20.

How the progression system works
The Book of Ghost operates on a weekly rotation. Each week, two activities become available: the Anti-Fraud Manual and the Seven-Day Promise. Completing tasks within these activities grants Fun Points, which you then use to advance through exploration levels. The progression is cumulative—points carry over, and you can work toward multiple levels simultaneously.
Each level unlocked grants various items. When you reach level 20, the maximum, you receive a Treasure Tablet cosmetic as the final reward. The event window is fixed, so you have a limited time to complete as many levels as possible.

Seven-Day Promise activities
The Seven-Day Promise consists of five repeatable tasks that reset weekly. You can earn up to 300 Fun Points per week from these activities alone.
Trigger the effect of Varja Vigor Pill once: Purchase a Varja Vigor Pill from Pitiful Zhen's Miracle Pharmacy and use it. This grants 40 Fun Points.
Perform Celestial Seize in the Nine Mortal Ways once: Use the Celestial Seize mystic skill to steal an item from any NPC within the Nine Mortal Ways Base. This grants 40 Fun Points.
Satisfy Rat's begging once: Give coins to any of the Squeakers (rats) found in the Nine Mortal Ways Base area. This grants 80 Fun Points.
Shout the Nine Mortal Ways slogan in multiplayer: During the Well of Heaven Special Training multiplayer activity, select "Nine Mortal Ways—masters of schemes" when given dialogue choices during the chant. This grants 80 Fun Points.
Conduct a divination: Approach the Diviner's Oath near the entrance of the Nine Mortal Ways Base to have your fortune told. You can only receive a divination once per day, and it grants 120 Fun Points.

Anti-Fraud Manual activities
The Anti-Fraud Manual is a separate set of rotating weekly tasks. Specific task details and point values are part of the same event structure, and you can work on both the Anti-Fraud Manual and Seven-Day Promise simultaneously to maximize your weekly Fun Points.
Reaching level 20
To unlock all 20 levels and claim the Treasure Tablet cosmetic, you need to accumulate enough Fun Points across the weeks the event is active. Since you can earn up to 300 Fun Points per week from the Seven-Day Promise alone, plus additional points from the Anti-Fraud Manual, the total points required scales across the 20 levels. Plan your weekly completions to ensure you reach the maximum level before the event ends.

Note: Multiplayer divination is currently bugged and unusable, so you cannot complete that specific variant of the divination task. The standard single-player divination at the Diviner's Oath works normally.
