Unlock the mine before you go

You won’t be able to enter any Abandoned Auger Mine until “Shadow of the Mountain” is finished. Once that story beat is done, the Bittervein mine becomes accessible and you can push through to Bramblesong’s arena.

Bramblesong location (Bittervein, Stoneblood Forest)

Head to Stoneblood Forest in Terminus Range and look for the Bittervein Abandoned Auger Mine. On the Stoneblood map, Bittervein is positioned north of Substation Canonary. Enter the mine and follow the tunnels; the path is straightforward and ends at a large cavern where Bramblesong spawns.

  • Fast travel to a Stoneblood Forest safehouse or nearby waypoint for a short run to the cave.
  • Watch for the mine icon or the cave mouth labeled “Bittervein.”
  • Fight through to the end chamber; the boss arena is the final room.

Legendary drops

Legendary Type Legendary effect (name) Manufacturer
Convergence Shotgun Asymptotic Ripper
Disco Grenade Ordnance Groove Maliwan

Both items drop from Bramblesong in Bittervein. If you’re targeting specific rolls, plan on repeat clears using the local farming machine.

Beat Bramblesong: simple, reliable tactics

  • Use the arena boulder for safety. When Bramblesong closes in with wide melee swipes, keep the boulder between you and the boss to avoid getting clipped and to recover.
  • Respect the projectile volleys. Its shots land with area explosions; move out of impact zones instead of trying to face-tank.
  • Lean on fire damage. Incendiary weapons chew through flesh bars and keep pressure up with burn ticks.
  • Open windows, then burst. Save your strongest magazines, grenades, and action skills for when Bramblesong is stationary after a whiffed swipe or during a stagger.
  • Stay mobile. Short strafes and sprints avoid the wide arcs on its close-range attacks.
  • Plan your Second Wind. Leave a few lesser enemies alive; if you go down, they’re your ticket back up.

Set up an efficient farm

After the first clear, you can re-run Bramblesong by paying Moxxi’s Big Encore machine stationed near the entrance to the boss area. This keeps the loop tight for chasing Convergence or topping up on legendaries without leaving the mine.

Where Bramblesong fits in progression

Bramblesong is treated as a world boss and also shows up as a required target in early Ultimate Vault Hunter tasks. If you’re pushing endgame ranks, a clean Bittervein route and a stable fire-focused loadout will save time on repeat kills.

If you’ve finished “Shadow of the Mountain,” Bittervein is an easy pin on the Stoneblood map: head north of Substation Canonary, clear to the final cavern, and put Bramblesong down. Bring fire, use the boulder, and keep moving; the Encore machine nearby lets you lock in a fast farm once you’ve got the fight’s rhythm.
