Carcadia Burn has three Safehouses to unlock — Wildhorn’s Beard, The Lowrise, and Makeshift Chalet. Each one becomes a fast travel point once claimed, and unlocking a Safehouse awards 40 SDU. The process is the same every time: locate the datapad nearby, then use the Command Console at the Safehouse to claim it.

Carcadia Burn Safehouses at a glance

Safehouse Area Datapad location Where to claim
Makeshift Chalet Lopside Drop below the Safehouse on the west side to a lower ledge; datapad sits on a box. Use the Command Console at the Safehouse building on the main platform.
The Lowrise Tonnage Peel Climb via grappling points and broken pipes; on a small outcropping just behind/left of the main structure. Command Console on the main platform at the Safehouse.
Wildhorn’s Beard Ruined Sumplands Ascend the spiral path on the rocky spire; datapad is on a small boat at the top. Claim at the central Safehouse building at the site.

How Safehouses work (and how to unlock them)

  • Every Safehouse requires its nearby datapad first. After you pick it up, the Command Console can be used to claim the location.
  • While you’re close, enable ECHO‑4 scan — the datapad shows on your compass as a blue diamond.
  • Set a map pin on the Safehouse to follow the waypoint. Many routes rely on grapples, wall climbs, and short glides.
  • You don’t have to clear enemies to claim a Safehouse. In a pinch, sprint for the console; claiming the site spawns allied NPCs to help stabilize the area.

Makeshift Chalet (Lopside)

Head for the western edge of the Lopside section. The Safehouse sits on the cliff; the datapad is not on the main deck. Walk to the west side of the platform and look down for a stepped path along the cliff face. Drop to the small landing below and grab the datapad from the box.

Climb or grapple back up to the top and use the Command Console at the Safehouse to claim it.

The Lowrise (Tonnage Peel)

The Lowrise sits atop a vertical industrial stack. Approach from the northeast side and use the grappling hook points — especially the broken pipes — to work your way up across platforms. Expect Rippers at the top.

From the main landing, check the rear-left side for a small rock or catwalk that juts out from the platform. The datapad rests there. With the datapad collected, return to the main platform and use the Safehouse Command Console.

Note: Story progression gates parts of Tonnage Peel. If the route is blocked early in the campaign, return later.

Wildhorn’s Beard (Ruined Sumplands)

At the northern edge of Ruined Sumplands, Wildhorn’s Beard is on a small island linked by structures. Circle the rocky spire via the plank-lined path; it winds up like a spiral staircase. At the top, the datapad is inside a small boat — watch for Kratch in the area.

Descend to the central buildings at the site and use the Command Console inside the Safehouse to claim the fast travel point.

What you get for claiming these three

  • Fast travel access to each Safehouse from anywhere in Kairos.
  • 40 SDU per Safehouse, used for capacity upgrades.
  • Stable rest points often co-located with machines like vendors, mission boards, and respec — availability varies by site.

Once all three are claimed, Carcadia Burn travel becomes dramatically simpler — especially when bouncing between island objectives in the Sumplands and late‑story runs through Tonnage Peel.
