Climb the lighthouse to trigger the chase

From Topper’s camp, start the ascent on the right-hand side using the yellow-painted ledge. Move up to the shack roof, then face the lighthouse and grapple to the protruding point on the right. Continue up the next yellow climbable to reach the upper platform — you’ll see a Kratch called The Beastie snatch Topper’s legs and take off.

Track Beastie across the bluff (read your map)

Follow Beastie over the bridge and up the road; your map will keep updating its position. Waypoints can hop between nearby sub-areas during the pursuit, so don’t fixate on one label — just keep advancing toward the current ping. You’ll ultimately be led back toward Beastie’s nesting ground, far west of Boglight Vigilance.

Tip: Use a vehicle if you have one parked nearby. The chase won’t fail if Beastie gets ahead, but wheels cut down the back-and-forth considerably.

Known waypoint quirk (worth noting)

Beastie’s marker can shift unexpectedly during this mission. Fast traveling to the Deep Seven silo, for example, can bump the marker to the area outside Fortress Indomita. Even without fast travel, the ping may drift between spots (such as The Stub) before correcting. Keep the map open and keep moving — the actual lair you need is the one west of Boglight Vigilance.

Clear Beastie’s lair and secure the legs

Approach the nest and Beastie will turn hostile. Expect multiple Kratch, including Badass variants. Bring high-DPS, accurate options to handle airborne targets and prioritize thinning the adds so you can focus fire on Beastie when it dips or hovers. Once the area is clear, search the nest for Topper’s legs and interact with the mechanism.

Escort Leggies back to Boglight Vigilance

After activation, the legs will walk themselves home. Stay close and defend them from waves of Order enemies along the path. The escort isn’t fragile: Leggies can dish out real damage and will help you clean up mobs, but you still need to keep pressure off during larger skirmishes and chokepoints.

At the camp, Topper will ride down on a lift to reunite with Leggies. Let the scene play out to complete the mission.

Completing Gone Are My Leggies sets up follow-on side content involving Topper and Leggies, including the “To the Limb It” chain later in the Fadefields. Keep an eye out — Leggies may reappear as a capable ally in subsequent errands tied to this storyline.

If you hit the waypoint quirk mid-chase, don’t restart: keep chasing the current map ping until it resolves at the lair west of Boglight Vigilance, clear the nest, and let the escort do its work on the way back.
