Crafting the Soul Split Katana in Jujutsu Zero — NPC Location, Materials, and Stats

The Soul Split Katana is a craftable weapon in Jujutsu Zero modeled after Toji Fushiguro's iconic cursed tool from Jujutsu Kaisen. Unlike a random drop, obtaining it requires you to find a specific NPC, complete three quests, gather materials, and then craft the weapon directly. The whole process is gated behind a fairly high-level requirement, so you'll want to come prepared.

Quick answer: Reach Level 750+, locate the Awakened Zenin NPC near the TP3 Teleport Point, complete his three quests, collect 10 Iron, 5 Cursed Iron, 5 Heavenly Fragments, and 3 Soul Fragments, then select the fourth dialogue option to craft the Soul Split Katana.

Level requirement and Awakened Zenin NPC location

You must be at least Level 750 to craft the Soul Split Katana. The NPC responsible for the entire quest chain and crafting process is the Awakened Zenin, who appears on the map as a Level 550–750 NPC once you've hit Level 550 or higher. He's positioned in the top-left corner of the map, on a cliff overlooking a waterfall.

To reach him quickly, teleport to the TP3 Teleport Point, then head right and begin climbing the mountains. Scale the cliff to the right of the waterfall, and you'll find the Awakened Zenin NPC at approximate map coordinates -1665, 368, -1141.

Quest chain and crafting materials

Before you can craft anything, you need to complete three quests from the Awakened Zenin NPC. These quests also reward some of the materials you'll need for the final craft, particularly Cursed Iron, Heavenly Fragments, and Soul Fragments. Once all three quests are done and you've gathered everything, the fourth dialogue option with the NPC lets you forge the weapon.

MaterialQuantityHow to obtain
Iron10Strengthened Crate I & II, Flame Crate, Cursed Crate, Volcanic Crate, Valuable Crate, Supply Crate, Calamity Crate, Amber Crate I & II
Cursed Iron5Same crates as Iron, plus Awakened Zenin quest rewards
Heavenly Fragment5Strengthened Crate I & II, Flame Crate, Volcanic Crate, Valuable Crate, Supply Crate, Calamity Crate, Amber Crate I & II, plus Awakened Zenin quest rewards
Soul Fragment3Awakened Zenin quest rewards only

Soul Fragments are the bottleneck here. They drop exclusively from the Awakened Zenin's quest chain, so there's no way to farm them from crates. Iron and Cursed Iron are more widely available across numerous crate types, meaning you'll likely accumulate those passively while grinding.

Soul Split Katana stats and passives

Once crafted, the Soul Split Katana provides two primary stat boosts and two passive bonuses:

StatsPassives
+ATK, +CD+CR%, +ATK%

The combination of flat ATK with cooldown reduction on the stat side, paired with critical rate and ATK percentage passives, makes this weapon well-suited for damage-focused builds. The critical rate passive in particular scales well at higher levels where consistent crit output matters more than raw numbers alone.

Confirming the craft worked

After selecting the fourth option in the Awakened Zenin's dialogue and having all materials in your inventory, the Soul Split Katana will appear in your weapon inventory. You can equip it immediately. If the craft option is grayed out or unavailable, double-check that you've completed all three prerequisite quests and that your level is 750 or above — being in the 550–749 range lets you see the NPC and start quests but won't unlock the final crafting step.

The Soul Split Katana is one of the more involved weapon crafts in Jujutsu Zero, but the material requirements are straightforward once you know where to look. Farming crates for Iron and Cursed Iron while working through the Awakened Zenin's quest chain is the most efficient path, since the quests themselves supply the rarest component — Soul Fragments — that you can't get anywhere else.
