Rebel Suppression is the 114th main quest in Crimson Desert, set in the Hernand region during Chapter 8: Blood Coronation. A massive battlefield opens up, and your objective is to reduce the enemy forces percentage bar on the left side of the screen to zero. Three tall wooden siege towers are scattered across the area, and while destroying them is listed as an objective, it's technically optional. That said, each tower you topple shaves roughly 5 percent off the enemy bar, making the long slog of killing hundreds of soldiers noticeably shorter.
Quick answer: Use the cannons positioned on the castle walls near each siege tower. A few cannonball shots will bring a tower down far faster than melee attacks, fire arrows, or abilities.

Locating the three siege towers
Once the battle begins, open your map and look for three rook-shaped markers spread across the battlefield. These indicate the siege towers — they're the massive wooden structures, not the smaller tower posts dotted around the area. A common mistake is attacking the wrong structures. The correct siege towers are significantly taller and also appear on your mini-map. When properly destroyed, a tower collapses and disappears entirely. If you see a burning pile of wood left behind on the ground, you may have hit the wrong target or encountered a bug.

Methods for destroying each siege tower
| Method | Input | Effectiveness |
|---|---|---|
| Cannons (recommended) | Interact with a cannon on the castle walls near the tower, aim, and fire | High — a few shots destroys the tower |
| Powerful stab attack | Left Mouse Button + Right Mouse Button simultaneously (PC) or equivalent on controller | Moderate — works but slower |
| Concentrating Light ability | CTRL + Left Click → hold CTRL (PC) / L1+R1 → hold L1 (PS) / LB+RB → hold LB (Xbox) | Mixed — some players report inconsistent results |
| Fire arrows | Equip burning arrows and shoot the tower | Mixed — not always reliable |
Cannons are the most consistent option. You'll find them positioned on the castle walls in the vicinity of each tower. Walk up to a cannon, interact with it, rotate it toward the siege tower, and fire. It typically takes only a handful of shots to bring one down completely.

Dealing with the Cursed Knight boss (Fortain)
At the first siege tower, you'll encounter the Cursed Knight, a tough shield-wielding boss named Fortain. You don't need to defeat him here. After you deal a small amount of damage, he disappears and reappears at the next siege tower. He'll keep retreating as you progress through the towers, so don't overcommit to the fight early on. Focus on the tower itself and the surrounding enemies instead.
Completing the quest without destroying any towers
If you'd rather skip the towers entirely, you can still finish Rebel Suppression by killing enough enemy soldiers to drain the percentage bar to zero. Running back and forth across the battlefield causes enemies to respawn in the later sections of the castle, so you can farm kills repeatedly. This takes considerably longer, but it works. The Tauria Curved Sword — earned earlier from the Crowcaller boss — is especially effective for crowd control during this approach, thanks to its wide, heavy attack sweep.

Combat tips for the battlefield
Enemies hit hard during this quest, and several mechanics can catch you off guard. Mounted soldiers will kick you if you stand behind their horse, so always approach from the side or front. Some enemies will attempt to grapple you, triggering a quick-time event that you need to counter immediately. Getting grabbed while at low health is one of the most common ways to die here.
Stock up on at least 200 Grilled Meat before starting this mission. The fight is long, healing opportunities are scarce, and you'll want a full supply heading into the boss encounter that follows Rebel Suppression.

Known bug with siege tower completion tracking
Some players have encountered a bug where all three siege towers are visibly destroyed — reduced to burning wreckage on the ground — but the quest tracker still shows zero towers destroyed. This appears to be a recognized issue that multiple players have reported to Pearl Abyss. If you run into this problem, your options are limited. Loading an earlier save or autosave is the cleanest fix, though autosaves may have already been overwritten if you've spent significant time in the quest area.
On PC, you can report the bug directly through Pearl Abyss's reporting tool (PERS.exe), located in the game's local files under the bin64 folder. Some players have also resorted to community-made mods that allow quest skipping as a last resort to get past the softlock.
Rebel Suppression is one of the longer combat encounters in Crimson Desert's main story, but using cannons on the siege towers cuts the grind significantly. Prioritize the towers first, keep your health topped off with Grilled Meat, and the enemy bar will drain well before you run out of soldiers to fight.
