Core kit (what each ability actually does)

AbilityTypeWhat it doesKey mechanics
Emerald Effusion Skill — Healing aura Creates an alchemical mist around Daphne that continuously heals her and nearby allies and slows enemies in the area. Generates 2 Azoth Projectiles per second while active; circular radius around ~6m at base; consumes Sanity.
Repulsion Synthesis Ultimate — Team buff and control Heals the team and applies Purification Formula. Briefly immobilizes nearby enemies and inflicts Decay Formula. Grants Azoth equal to the number of affected allies and enemies (up to 12); Decay reduces enemy Attack and deals periodic Anemo damage; immobilization lasts around 3 seconds; Decay’s debuff ticks every 2 seconds.
Azoth Projectile Passive — Ranged proc engine When Daphne holds Azoth, her ranged weapon’s trigger probability is increased; each ranged attack consumes 1 Azoth. Stores up to 30 Azoth; trigger probability bonus scales with level and can reach 100% at cap.

Notes on numbers: tuning for Sanity cost, durations, and buff types varies by level and build. The mechanics above are consistent: Emerald Effusion heals and generates Azoth; the ultimate heals, buffs allies, immobilizes enemies, and applies Decay; Azoth fuels ranged procs.

Argent Lacrima While holding Azoth, Daphne’s ranged hits apply one tick of Decay Formula’s DoT to the target.
Ardent Impulse Increases Crit Chance by +40% for Daphne and nearby teammate(s). Only active when deployed as a Combat Partner.

Intron levels (breakpoints and synergies)

Intron levelEffect
1Allies within Emerald Effusion deal +10% damage.
2Emerald Effusion generates 3 Azoth per second instead of 2.
3Emerald Effusion +2 levels; Azoth Projectile +1 level.
4Restores 1 Sanity per Azoth consumed.
5Repulsion Synthesis +2 levels; Azoth Projectile +1 level.
6When a Purification-buffed teammate hits a Decay-afflicted enemy, Daphne gains a 12s stack of +7% damage (up to 3 stacks; once per second).

How to play Daphne (rotation, spacing, and Sanity)

  • Open with Emerald Effusion to establish healing and start banking Azoth. Stay close enough to allies to keep them inside the aura; the field is centered on Daphne.
  • Use the assault rifle to spend Azoth between ability windows. Azoth raises the ranged trigger probability and, with Argent Lacrima, adds a free tick of Decay’s DoT on hit.
  • Cast Repulsion Synthesis when multiple targets are in range or when allies are regrouped. The immobilization sets up burst windows, and the Purification/Decay pairing enables Daphne’s Intron 6 stacking buff.
  • Leverage Intron 4 for resource flow: spending Azoth refunds Sanity, letting you sustain healing uptime in longer encounters.
  • As a Combat Partner, Ardent Impulse’s +40% Crit Chance is a strong off-field buff. If your team’s main damage dealer wants to stay on field, let Daphne buff from the sidelines.
Tip: The ultimate also grants Azoth based on the number of affected allies and enemies (up to 12). Dropping it into clustered fights refills your ranged engine immediately.

Team fit and synergy

  • Primary carry + Daphne: Daphne supplies healing and control while the carry stays on field to capitalize on the short buff window from Purification and the enemy Attack reduction from Decay.
  • Multi-hit or sustained DPS teammates: frequent hits keep Decay ticking and make it easier to trigger Daphne’s Intron 6 stacks at a steady cadence.
  • Crowd-centric encounters: immobilization and the slow from Emerald Effusion help group control; the Attack reduction from Decay reduces incoming damage during bursts.

Skill leveling and priorities

  • Repulsion Synthesis: prioritize for team-wide healing, immobilization, and the Purification/Decay window that drives both damage and safety.
  • Emerald Effusion: invest next for more reliable sustain and Azoth generation; higher levels improve uptime and area control.
  • Azoth Projectile (passive): level to raise ranged trigger probability; the payoff is especially noticeable if you weave frequent rifle strings.
Note: Exact Sanity costs and durations vary across levels and builds. Focus your upgrades on the pieces that extend healing uptime and strengthen the buff/debuff window your team relies on.

At a glance: why pick Daphne

  • Reliable team sustain with a controllable healing aura.
  • On-demand stop and debuff to shape combat tempo.
  • Unique Azoth economy that turns ranged strings into guaranteed procs and bonus Decay ticks.
  • High-value partner buff: +40% Crit Chance when slotted as a Combat Partner.

If your team wants a steady healer who also locks enemies down and juices ranged procs, Daphne slots in cleanly. Build around her short, impactful windows—bank Azoth, time the immobilize, and let your main damage dealer do the rest.
