  • Enter fights with Energy in the bank when possible (Intron 4 helps). Use Electro Vortex to start Electro Surge, then reposition with the movement speed buff.
  • Apply alternating charges via Electro Surge and let the pull effect clump enemies for AoE follow-ups.
  • Spend 30 Electric Energy on Volt Rush for the empowered leap and the damage window. Fit your primary weapon strings inside that 9-second buff.
  • Leverage the refund loop: Sanity spent builds Energy; Energy spent partially restores Sanity with Poweroff Anxiety, enabling longer Surge windows.
Tip: Intron 6 changes target throughput significantly. With two Surge hits per second, charge cycling and clumping scale better in multi-target encounters.

Team building and weapons (synergy-first)

  • Pair with another Electro unit to benefit from Thundering Nightbreaker’s ATK boost for nearby Electro teammate(s) when Rhythm is a Combat Partner.
  • Frontline with the katana during Volt Rush’s damage window; swap to assault rifle to maintain pressure while Electro Surge ticks.
  • Look for Demon Wedges and gear lines that increase Skill DMG, Electro DMG, ATK, or skill range. Sanity economy and survivability rolls help sustain Electro Surge.

How to unlock Rhythm (Secret Letters, Thoughts, and modes)

Characters, weapons, and Demon Wedges are earned via Secret Letters after completing Covert Commissions. Each successful run gives a choice of rewards; character Thoughts are the key currency, and it takes 30 Thoughts to unlock a new character. Commissions are level 40 activities, so progress the story and shore up your starter build before grinding.

  • Convert 10 Secret Letter Clues into one Secret Letter. Clues come from the main story, side quests, dailies/weeklies, and endgame modes.
  • Endgame sources include Nocturnal Echoes (weekly bosses), Mystic Maze (weekly Clues), and Immersive Theater (rotating high-yield Clues and featured character Letters over 28 days).
  • At launch, weekly bosses include Secret Letters for Rhythm among other characters; featured characters rotate through Immersive Theater first before moving to boss pools and then shop exchange.
