EA FC 26’s second Ratings Reload squad is out, headlined by Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne alongside a mix of rising talents and established starters. The campaign focuses on community-backed upgrades delivered through special Ultimate Team items. Base cards stay the same; the boost only applies to these promo versions. What Ratings Reload actually changes

Ratings Reload issues special items that reflect how the community feels certain players should be rated right now. The upgrade is confined to the promo item. Base items don’t change in your club, in packs after the promo ends, or on the global ratings list.

That’s why you’ll see, for example, Lionel Messi’s base item at 86 OVR and Kevin De Bruyne’s base item at 87 OVR, while their Ratings Reload versions jump to 88 OVR. If you want the boost in Ultimate Team, you’ll need the special item, not the standard gold.

Why these cards matter in Ultimate Team

  • Immediate power boosts: Passing-heavy creators like De Bruyne get top-tier distribution right out of the pack.
  • Flexible roles: Several items carry useful secondary positions (e.g., De Bruyne at CAM, Doué across RW/RM/CM/LW, Dumfries at RB/RM), giving you room to solve chemistry without sacrificing fit.
  • Meta-friendly profiles: Pace-plus-physical fullbacks and high-dribbling wingers remain reliable early-cycle picks, even outside perfect chemistry.

Availability window

Team 2 is in packs for one week. If you plan to open saved packs or target specific players on the transfer market, the timing matters—prices tend to be highest in the early hours and settle as supply increases.

Heavy hitters at the top, high-upside options throughout the middle, and a clear emphasis on fan-backed upgrades—Team 2 delivers a broad set of squad-build paths in a compact window. If you’ve been waiting to refresh your right wing, midfield creativity, or fullback depth, this week offers some of the cycle’s most impactful early upgrades.
