Where Winds Meet doesn't just hand you platform trophies and call it a day. NetEase's open-world martial arts RPG has its own sprawling internal achievement system — 388 achievements spread across 17 categories — and completing them actually pays out. Most reward Echo Jade, a currency you can spend at Weiyang merchants or funnel into the Solemn Echo gacha for cosmetic appearances. For the average enhancement achievement, you need to level all four gear slots evenly rather than pushing a single piece. Salvage spare gear for materials. For martial arts leveling, your main style will naturally reach 30 through normal play — EXP comes from combat, scroll drops, and Mystique Trials. Training Items for manual upgrades drop from enemies, and the level cap on any martial art matches your character level.
Purple (Epic) equipment can be tuned up to three levels, while gold equipment goes up to five. When you tune a piece, a white dot indicator appears on it.
Campaign Achievements
Campaign achievements unlock by clearing the game's main dungeon storylines. Each campaign also has "Exhilaration" speed-kill achievements that require defeating the final boss within a time limit, plus Hard and Abyss difficulty clears.

The Still Shore campaign starts behind Everclear Clinic in Qinghe — descend into the well, use fire arrows to light braziers along the underground path, push through the stone door, play the flute to open the next chamber, then exit near Heart Lake and climb Minitour Mountain. The boss Heartseeker wields a scythe and hits hard, so lean on parries and dodges. When Heartseeker moves to the arena center and gathers energy, hide behind nearby headstones immediately. The Infernal Twinblades are particularly effective here.
For the timed "Exhilaration" achievements, bosses in Qinghe campaigns generally need to die within 60 seconds, while Kaifeng bosses like Tian Ying (Buddha's Light Summit), Rong Yuan (Jinming Pool), and Zheng E (Ever-Normal Granary) have a 180-second window. The tutorial boss from Gleaming Pond — the Formless — becomes replayable later in the Gleaming Abyss campaign, so don't worry if you missed the speed kill on your first encounter.

Easy Achievements You Can Grab Right Now
Several achievements are quick wins that many players overlook due to vague or poorly translated descriptions.
Just Giving It A Try… requires you to blow up an explosive barrel and kill yourself with it. Walk up to any red barrel, detonate it, and stand in the blast radius. Echo Jade x5.
Take a Seat Here simply asks you to sit on a bench. Find any bench in the Jianghu, interact with it, and collect your Echo Jade.
Buddha-Blessed Goose (Goose Slayer) is a fan favorite. Travel to the river near the bridge in Qinghe, where geese gather and find the sick goose healing icon. Start the treatment, but intentionally skip every healing cycle without curing it. After the 10th round fails, the goose turns demonic and starts attacking everything nearby. Use the Tai Chi ability to throw it into deep water for an instant kill. This unlocks the achievement and some Echo Jade.
I'm Done Being Human! requires transforming into a Shiba Inu. Northwest of the Blissful Retreat, after completing the main story quests for that area, find a small town with dogs. Drink the water that says "do not drink." You'll transform into a dog temporarily. While in dog form, walk upstairs to play a card game with other dogs for an additional achievement (Love Across Species).
Exploration and Collection Achievements
The Worldly Wanderings categories track your thoroughness across Qinghe and Kaifeng. These are long-term goals.
