Every Artifact in Roblox Abyss — How to Get Them, Full Stats, and Best Loadouts

Artifacts are permanent passive buffs in Roblox Abyss that stay active as long as they're equipped. They can't be purchased from any shop. Instead, you earn them by cracking open geodes or completing specific NPC quests. Each Artifact rolls random stat values within a fixed range, so two copies of the same Artifact can perform quite differently. Choosing the right combination matters — especially once you unlock all three equip slots at higher levels.

Quick answer: Fish in zone-specific areas to collect Mossy, Cactus, or Rooted Geodes, then bring them to the Virelia NPC inside the safe dome to crack them open and receive a random Artifact.

How to Obtain Artifacts

Geodes are the primary source of Artifacts. While fishing, a treasure chest icon can randomly appear during the reeling minigame. Hovering over it and keeping it in the green zone — the same way you reel in a fish — awards you a geode. The Luck Potion increases the chance of a chest spawning during the minigame. Some quests also reward geodes directly.

Step 1: Fish in one of the three artifact zones: Forgotten Deep (Mossy Geode), Ancient Sands (Cactus Geode), or Spirit Roots (Rooted Geode). Watch for a treasure chest during the reeling minigame and capture it.

Step 2: Return to the safe dome and interact with the Virelia NPC by pressing E. Select the Open Artifacts dialogue option, choose how many geodes to crack, and confirm.

Step 3: Open your Inventory from the icon at the top-left of the screen, navigate to the Artifacts tab, and select the Artifact you want to equip. It will appear behind your character inside a bubble, confirming it's active.

Mossy Geodes take 60 seconds to open (30 with the gamepass). Cactus Geodes take 180 seconds (90 with the gamepass). Opening times for Rooted Geodes follow a similar pattern.

Artifact Slot Unlocks by Level

You start with a single Artifact slot and unlock more as you level up. The thresholds are straightforward:

  • Up to level 10 — 1 equipped Artifact
  • Up to level 20 — 2 equipped Artifacts
  • After level 20 — 3 equipped Artifacts

Leveling up efficiently means completing the Kraken's main questline and picking up side quests from NPCs like Mr Black and the Scientist on the starter island.

All Geode Artifacts — Full Stat Ranges

Every geode-sourced Artifact has a lowest and highest possible stat roll. The table below lists all 19 geode Artifacts organized by rarity, along with the geode type and fishing zone where you can farm them.

Quest and Special Artifacts

Four Artifacts sit outside the geode system entirely. Three come from NPC quest chains, and one is an exclusive reward for early testers.

ArtifactSourceStats (Low → High)
The King's FortuneKing Cat's Quest (Spirit Roots)Cash: +14% → +21%, Speed: +3.25 → +5, Cooldown: −0.2s → −0.34s
Crab ClawCrab's Quest (Forgotten Deep — find the Crab on Henry's Harpoon shop counter; the Ancient Scroll is in a cave on the far left of Ancient Sands)Oxygen: +22% → +29%, Cooldown: −0.14s → −0.28s, Cash: +12% → +19%
Ruined LanternLightkeeper's Quest (Angler Cave air pocket, accessible after completing Lost Captain's quest in the Ocean area)Weight: +100kg
Rubber DuckEarly Tester BadgeSpeed: +2, Weight: +20kg

The King's Fortune is widely regarded as one of the strongest Artifacts in the game because it boosts cash, speed, and cooldown with zero downsides. If you haven't started the King Cat questline in Spirit Roots, it's worth prioritizing.

Best Artifact Combinations

Once all three slots are open, your loadout depends on whether you're optimizing for damage, money farming, or deep-zone survival.

Damage-focused build: Wraith Flower, Infernal Eye, and Rune of Might. This combination stacks massive damage bonuses alongside XP gains and cooldown reduction. The Infernal Eye's cooldown penalty at low rolls can be offset by the Rune of Might's cooldown stat if it rolls favorably.

Money farming build: The King's Fortune, Holy Flower, and Crab Claw. All three provide cash bonuses, and The King's Fortune and Crab Claw also reduce cooldowns. Holy Flower adds speed, though its oxygen penalty is worth watching in deeper zones.

Balanced endgame build: Wraith Flower, Eternal Crystal, and Holy Flower. This is a popular all-rounder — Wraith Flower handles damage and speed, Eternal Crystal covers oxygen and weight for longer dives, and Holy Flower adds cash income with a speed bump.

Beginners should focus on speed and cooldown reduction first. Artifacts like Tank, Hour Glass, and Cactus are easy to obtain from early geodes and smooth out the grind before you start chasing Legendary and Mythical drops.

Artifacts are one of the deepest progression layers in Abyss, and because each one rolls random values within its stat range, farming geodes remains worthwhile even after you've pulled a copy of every type. The difference between a low-roll and high-roll Wraith Flower, for instance, is the gap between +30% and +44% damage — enough to meaningfully change how fast you clear tougher encounters.
