Every Crimson Desert Edition, Bonus, and Deal Before Launch Day

Crimson Desert launches on March 19, 2026, across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developed by Pearl Abyss — the studio behind Black Desert Online — it's an open-world action-adventure set on the continent of Pywel, following a mercenary captain named Kliff through a war-torn fantasy landscape. You play across three switchable characters, fight massive bosses, ride mounts ranging from horses to dragons, and glide off mountain peaks with a paraglider.

Quick answer: Pre-ordering any edition on any platform gets you the Khaled Shield, an in-game defensive item. The Standard Edition costs $69.99, the Digital Deluxe is $79.99, the Physical Deluxe is $89.99, and the Collector's Edition is $279.99.

Crimson Desert Editions and Pricing Compared

Pearl Abyss is selling Crimson Desert in three main tiers, though the Deluxe splits into physical and digital variants with different price points and contents. The physical versions include tangible collectibles that the digital versions skip entirely.

The Digital Deluxe saves you $10 compared to the Physical Deluxe but drops all the tangible items — no steelbook, no brooch pin, no map, no photo cards. Both Deluxe tiers share the same in-game digital items: the Kairos Plate armor set (helm, gloves, boots, cloak, and chest piece), the Balgran Shield, and the Exclaire Horse Set (champron, barding, saddle, and stirrups).

Collector's Edition Exclusive Items

The $279.99 Collector's Edition stacks everything from the Physical Deluxe and adds two significant extras. The centerpiece is a 17-inch diorama depicting Kliff battling the Golden Star — a substantial display piece for shelf collectors. It also includes the Ultimate Pack, a bundle of exclusive in-game weapons and gear not available in any other edition: the Tormented Soul Bow, Derictus Spear, Sielos Longsword, Shroud Lantern, and Hyperion Horse Tack Set.

Physical copies of the Collector's Edition are available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version is only sold in certain regions.

Pre-Order Bonuses Breakdown

The universal pre-order bonus across all platforms and editions is the Khaled Shield, a usable in-game shield that gives Kliff extra defensive capability in the early hours. It's not a cosmetic — it functions as actual equipment.

🎮
PS5 pre-orders also receive the Grotevant Plate Set, which includes the Grotevant Plate Helm, Grotevant Plate Armor, plus matching cloak, gloves, and boots. This set is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and comes with every edition.

There's one additional bonus tied to a specific storefront. Pre-ordering through the Epic Games Store grants a Kliff skin usable in Fortnite. This is the only way to obtain that particular crossover cosmetic.

Players who also have Black Desert accounts get crossover rewards for pre-ordering Crimson Desert. These include a Golden Star Pet, Golden Star Statue, and Ashen Crow Horse Gear with Dream Arduanatt for PC and console players. Black Desert Mobile users receive Ashen Crow Barding plus 4,000 Black Pearls. Digital purchases automatically credit these rewards to linked accounts, while physical edition owners need to redeem a bonus code after launch. The crossover content unlocks on March 20, 2026 (UTC).

Where to Find Discounts on PC

Console pricing is locked at $69.99 for Standard and $89.99 for Physical Deluxe across Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart. No retailer discounts exist for PS5 or Xbox at the moment.

PC is where the deals live. Third-party Steam key sellers Fanatical and Green Man Gaming both offer the Standard Edition at $59.49 — roughly 15 percent off the $69.99 list price on Steam and Epic. The Digital Deluxe through those same retailers runs $67.99 instead of $79.99. These are legitimate authorized key sellers distributing Steam keys.

Deluxe Digital Items in Detail

The Deluxe Pack's in-game items are purely cosmetic and functional gear for the early game. The Kairos Plate Set covers five equipment slots — helm, armor, cloak, gloves, and boots — giving Kliff a distinct armored look from the start. The Balgran Shield adds another defensive option alongside the pre-order Khaled Shield. The Exclaire Horse Set dresses up your mount with a champron (head armor), barding (body armor), saddle, and stirrups.

None of these items appear to be locked behind gameplay progression. They're delivered as bonus content at launch, designed to give Deluxe and Collector's Edition buyers a head start on gear variety rather than raw power advantages.

Which Edition Makes Sense

If you just want to play the game and don't care about cosmetics, the Standard Edition at $69.99 (or $59.49 on PC through discounted retailers) is the straightforward pick. You still get the Khaled Shield pre-order bonus and, on PS5, the Grotevant Plate Set.

The Digital Deluxe at $79.99 is a reasonable step up if you want the armor set and horse gear without dealing with physical packaging. The Physical Deluxe at $89.99 makes sense only if you value the steelbook, brooch pin, and map of Pywel enough to pay an extra $10 over digital.

The Collector's Edition at $279.99 is squarely aimed at display collectors. The 17-inch diorama is the main draw — the Ultimate Pack weapons are a nice addition, but the price premium is largely justified by the physical statue. If you're not planning to put Kliff on a shelf, the Deluxe tiers offer nearly all the in-game content at a fraction of the cost.

Regardless of which edition you choose, you need to complete your purchase before March 19, 2026, to receive the Khaled Shield pre-order bonus at launch.
